Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris O’neil.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
I’m a singer-songwriter from South Florida and Founder of “The LivingRoom” soflo. I come from a family of musicians. I remember as a child, we would gather around the piano with pots, pans and any other instrument we found or made our own. Needless to say, that was where it all began. Where I was inspired by other styles of singing as I came into the knowledge of my own sound. The place where I was encouraged to “feel what I sang”.
I believe that it is necessary for artist to have access to some type of environment that feels like home and not another gig.
So I created an atmosphere “TheLivingRoom”.
I am dedicated to my musical craft and also dedicated to exposing authentic talent around the world, with a series of open mics, Jam sessions and such, I have created an environment for other artists to share, network and evolve!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Challenges are of the inevitable, but it is necessary for the building of Craft and Character.
The LivingRoom – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The “Living Room” is a series of vocal musician meetings! I’ve always wanted to create a Space Strictly for Singers “We need a home away from the Work”.
We believe that it takes a community of people to esteem ones success.
Our mission is to maximize the potential of greatness within the artist. With professional experience and demonstration, we will assist the artist in:
Live Performance, Vocal Placement, Dynamics, Overall Message, Confidence, Audience Connection / Your Reach, We offer one on one vocal sessions, master classes.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is not measured solely on one’s possessions, but instead success is measured based on our pursuit to maintain healthy relationships, with our family, our peers and, even in the industry of business! I was raised upon that principle, and though it is easier said than done, there is nothing like being connected to like-minded people across the world! When you shake hand with good intentions, you open doors that are impossible for others to close shut.
