Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolina Moguel.
Carolina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I come from two immigrant parents.
When I was 15, I started in the beauty industry selling cosmetics in Bayside. When I was in high school I was in a work based learning program so I could work and go to school at the time same. All at the same time, maintaining dual enrollment classes. On my 18th birthday, I was recruited to be apart of the MAC Cosmetic team. I experienced a sisterhood where I learned the fundamentals of sales, education and resilience which prepared me to transition over to the medical side of aesthetics. I invested in becoming a dual licensed aesthetician/laser specialist. I wanted this to be my main focus while maintaining my retail market brand relationships. After three years in the field, I got a promotion to become a part of the largest South Miami dermatology practice. While I was working in the field, I also desired to work on renovating my home. It took me two years to complete while working consistently with no days off. The inspiration was my grandma who is responsible for instilling perseverance into me. When I was little, she worked endlessly to purchase five investment properties. Through watching her juggle family and business, she inspired me to be an entrepreneur. Meanwhile, my dad instilled the operational side of sales. Analyze, strategy and operation was a method I learned while watching my dad work in Iberia WholeFoods. There he met, my god mother who also had similar traits to my grandmother. Then he transitioned to the nursery business where him and I decided to open a business together called Orchid Ranch. They continue to be my source of strength to be able to invest in my medical side of aesthetics, Orchid Ranch, and house renovations. Thank you to them for leading the way and continuing to be my reason why everyday. Also thank you to all my relationships that I’ve collectively built in the last twelve years in the industry. Cheers to many more years of success to come.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it never is. Every day is a battle where you learn how to be decisive and solution oriented.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Medical aesthetics, Orchid Ranch, and house renovations is what I’m known for.
My resilience and authenticity sets me apart from others.
I am most proud of having my family as an example of leadership.
I want the readers to know that we cater to everyone and want everyone to feel their best while loving every part of the process.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always my true Aries self which is fire. My interest was sports like running and being successful.
