Today we’d like to introduce you to Cansu Ozgul.
Hi Cansu, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Meet Cansu Ozgul: Bridging Design, Wellness, and the Future of Health
Cansu Ozgul is a health innovation leader, creative brand strategist, and founder of Contempco, a creative agency shaping brands at the intersection of wellness, hospitality, and technology. A Parsons School of Design alumna, she has spent her career translating human insight and emotional intelligence into design systems that inspire transformation.
Her work spans future-forward hospitality and wellness brands, from boutique hotels and health-tech startups to wellness product launches. Cansu believes design is not just about aesthetics but about building systems that help people feel better, live longer, and connect deeper.
As a certified Integrative Health Coach (IIN) and graduate of Harvard Business School’s Digital Health and Data program, she merges strategic design thinking with evidence-based health intelligence. This unique blend led her to co-create SENSE with her partner, Dan Kashman, an AI-powered health platform pioneering personalized longevity solutions. SENSE has since evolved into a B2B technology empowering health companies to integrate intelligent personalization and data-driven wellness experiences into their offerings.
Cansu is also the creator of No BS Wellness, a growing media and content platform dedicated to honest, research-backed conversations about health, longevity, and self-awareness. Through podcasts, interviews, and social storytelling, she brings transparency to the wellness industry and helps people make better, simpler choices for their health.
Born in Istanbul, Cansu grew up within cultures that value both beauty and balance. That early duality shaped her approach to life and work, fusing European design sensibility with a Mediterranean philosophy of wellness.
Through her agency Contempco, she has collaborated with global names including Marriott, Pepsi, BODUM, Estee Lauder, Unilever, as well as emerging innovators in wellness, pet, food and hospitality. Whether designing a supplement brand or a hospitality identity, she approaches each project with precision, empathy, and a belief that good design can elevate human well-being.
“For me, wellness isn’t a niche, it’s the foundation of the future. Whether I’m designing a retreat brand, a tech interface, or a product label, it’s about creating systems that help people live more consciously.”
Today, Cansu divides her time between Miami, New York and Europe, building bridges between design, hospitality, and health innovation. Her vision is to make longevity and conscious living aspirational yet accessible, where wellness meets the world of beautiful design.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge for me has been navigating the space between creativity, wellness, and technology, and learning to build credibility in all three at once. When you’re creating something new at the intersection of industries, there isn’t a clear roadmap. You have to trust your intuition, stay adaptable, and keep learning constantly.
Transitioning from the world of design and branding into health innovation also meant translating a creative language into scientific and data-driven contexts. There were moments when I questioned whether I could bridge those worlds meaningfully, but I realized that’s exactly where my strength lies.
Another ongoing challenge has been balance. Building a business, co-creating a tech platform, managing agency projects, and still showing up authentically in wellness takes constant recalibration. I’ve learned that wellness is not about perfection but awareness,, knowing when to pause, delegate, and realign.
Living and working across different cultures has also shaped my resilience. It’s taught me to approach uncertainty with curiosity rather than fear. Every time something didn’t go as planned, it opened a new door that brought me closer to what I was meant to build.
Ultimately, I’ve come to see challenges as feedback. They refine not just your business but your sense of purpose.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Through my work, I focus on building experiences that connect design, wellness, and technology. My agency, Contempco, helps brands grow with intention especially in the wellness and hospitality space. We’ve worked with both global names and emerging founders to create visual identities, campaigns, and strategies that feel intelligent, elevated, and emotionally resonant.
Alongside my partner, Dan Kashman, I co-created SENSE, an AI-powered health platform that started as a personalized health and longevity tool and has since evolved into a B2B technology helping health companies bring personalization, data, and real human insight into their customer experience. It’s exciting to see this bridge between creativity and health intelligence making a tangible impact.
I also founded No BS Wellness, a content platform and podcast that brings transparency to the wellness world. It’s a space for real conversations,, what works, what doesn’t, and how people can navigate health without the overwhelm.
Whether it’s developing a brand, building technology, or creating educational content, my mission is the same: to help people and businesses live, design, and grow more consciously.
How do you think about luck?
I believe luck plays a role in everyone’s journey, but it rarely shows up without action. Some things are absolutely beyond our control,, timing, circumstances, or the people who cross our path. But I’ve found that luck tends to meet you halfway when you move with intention.
For me, it’s been less about working harder and more about working smarter ,,staying curious, saying yes to new experiences, and putting energy into things that align with a deeper purpose. When you take bold steps and act from clarity rather than fear, you start creating your own momentum.
So while I absolutely believe in timing and fate, I also think that being intentional, open, and adaptable makes you more available to the kind of “luck” that changes your life.
