Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Sorto.
Bryan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started working on the radio industry in 2016 at Spanish Broadcasting System(SBS), I had zero knowledge of what I got myself into. But since day one I don’t regret it. I remember my first day as if was yesterday, I was in the building finishing up the paperwork when I got told that I started to work the same day and that I was going to go to a meet and greet with Chino Miranda from the duo (Chino y Nacho) at an att store in Hialeah. Never in my life, I would imagine the amount of people at that event!
In these four years, I’ve had the fortune to work with the top in the radio industry and people who have become the meaning of MIAMI to our community for example Laura Garcia and Mario Andres Monero, Oscar Haza, La Gatita from 106.7FM and more… I’ve gotten great opportunities like having my own radio show on z92.3fm Sundays from 7-11pm in which I share fun facts, news and other fun info about our favorite artists, to producing content for different radio shows and social media pages, to interviewing artist like Natti Natasha, Lyanno, Ivy Queen, Natalia Jimenez, ReiK and more for Z92.3FM and a national content network. (Aire Networks) also I’ve play (DJ) at big events like El Zol Beach House, Ritmo Playa Party, Miami FC games…
But this has come with a price…. sacrifice. I’ve invested these past four years to working long days at events, filming, editing and learning as much as possible to be able to build a long-lasting career in this industry.
As an immigrant child, I never thought that I was going to be able to accomplish my dreams. But thanks to hard work, I have accomplished part of dreams.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t, struggles have been investing a lot of time, effort, creativity and energy. Sometimes you have to sacrifice your family time, because sometimes you have to be at different events, or you are doing shows, broadcasts, remotes and even charity work.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m an On Air Talent and DJ for Z92.3FM, one of the tops Hispanic radio stations in South Florida. Also, I’m a content creator. I have my own YouTube channel where I share facts about artists. Moreover, I have my own DJ Company in which we provide entertainment, sound and lights for parties. What sets me apart from others is my determination, energy, curiosity and creativity.
