Silk and Smooth LLC was founded in 2020 by CEO Brittney Colvin. Silk and Smooth LLC was created for those with very sensitive skin but for all skin types. In 2016 Silk and Smooth LLC CEO was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (CIU). Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (CIU) is when the immune system attacks the normal tissues of the body causing constant hives as a result. There are many skincare products people with CIU can not use so Brittney Colvin created a safe skin care line for those with sensitive skin BUT for everyone, Silk and Smooth LLC.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an entrepreneur has many ups and downs. From family and friends being un-supportive to having 20,000 dollar days. The key is to always believe in yourself and your business. No matter what. Remember to stay focused and that the goal remains the same BUT the path to get to the goal may change.
