Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Ade.
Brandy, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve been working at Miami International Airport for nine years interacting with different people and grasping the different concepts of survival in this thing we call life. With the up and down schedules, hours away from my children, I knew at some point something had to change and that change had to begin with me. One night as I prepared for bed, I ask God, what’s my purpose in life? What am I good at other then being a great mother and wife? As I closed my eyes I seen a yellow mop bucket that contained a broom, sponge, and two spray bottles. I sat up and was like is this really my passion.He showed me this vision twice; I had to be obedient and follow through with it. The next morning I discussed it with my husband and he said you’ve been talking about this for a year. I renege on it because I felt like nobody would support me because Miami is all about popularity etc. With that being said I told him I was going to get all my legal paperwork done, start purchasing my supplies, make my flyers and the grand opening would be on our anniversary 7/12/2020. He asked me how much I needed;I told him nothing at this point, all I need is your moral and physical support.
I chose the Bubbles & Pearls because it was unique and I wanted to stand out from other cleaning companies throughout South Florida. My first job was a week after opening and the clients started pouring in. I have two salons, two tattoo shops, a daycare, and a recording studio under my belt now. I’ve prayed for days like this to be able to make cash deposits everyday, not having to live paycheck to paycheck. Most of all show my children that no matter who doubts you in life God has the final say so. My children goes out twice a week with me to distribute flyers in different areas. I told my oldest daughter A’maizhin one day this business will be passed down to you guys and I want you guys to carry the name with dignity because this is our brand and you guys are the reason I opened this cleaning business.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Thus far the road has been smooth, I’ve only encountered one potential client that stood me up on a carpet cleaning job but I didn’t get discouraged.
One of my struggles along the way was marketing and being social media savvy. I turned my personal Facebook page into my business page and created an Instagram account, so I could promote my business. Now I go door to door and introduce myself and I’ve been attending Pop Up shops where I met other vendors and we learn something new from one another.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was the only child, so all my mom and I did was traveled the world. Seen so many people learned about different cults, cultures, arts, and food. I’ve always been the bright, a straight forward blunt girl with a high yellow skin tone. Very optimistic and driven.
