Hi Bella, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I never had dreams of being a rapper. I heard an artist freestyle to Mobb Deep “Quiet Storm” & I attempted to do so as well. Nevertheless, I didn’t expect to get as much feedback as I did. I went viral via Instagram and Facebook and it amazed me. It helped me earn confidence as well. I never had experienced any real studio time until my good people’s (Rick) followed by the label (Deep pockets music group) seen a vision and put me to work. I published my first single “More than Friends” and the numbers were crazy.. it gave me a name and introduced me to people that actually seen something in me. I started getting booked for parties, clubs and little gatherings it was something I enjoyed doing so I started to take it serious. Right now, I’m not where I want to be but I’m somewhere I’m appreciative about being. My brother who goes by “Major Nine” opened his arms to me and pushed me even more. Being around him motivates me to push to be in his position. I have more work to do and I’m on a mission. I’m one of the hottest out respectfully and I don’t even know it yet. It’s go time!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Honestly, nothing is never smooth coming from where I’m from. We have a variety of role models with limited support. You have to find a team and work as much as you can to make yourself visible. Everything I have I accomplished on my own. It’s not a big deal but it is knowing the type of talent I have going unnoticed but that’ll never make me stop. Keep going.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about you’re your work?
I’m a rapper first preferably an artist. I’m known for making hits. I’m proud of myself for being different and pursuing my rap career because who would’ve thought this would be something I enjoy? I’m different from others. I have the looks and the lyrics. I love that I’m versatile. A lot of people can’t do what I do. Having the same sound bores most people and I’m capable of keeping them alive.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel the most important characteristic with me is interacting with fans. I didn’t like people at first but I’m this game you have to open up. Certain artists have built a fan base to where anything you say or do they’re with it! You have to build a relationship with them and I’m all for it.
