Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashton Beauchesne.
Ashton, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started writing songs for local artists, and a producer that I worked with previously heard a demo that I’d sent over for his artist and asked me where he could find my music. I told him that I wasn’t a recording artist. He said, “you need to be” and that’s when I started my career as an artist in 2017.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been smooth at all. Honestly, most times, I want to quit. Between finding inspiration for material and content, trying to remain original and keep up with new music trends – it can prove to be very frustrating. Also, finding a producing team that values your sound and appreciates your vision isn’t an easy task but once you do – it takes a lot of the load off of your shoulders.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I specialize in songwriting and arrangement. I’m known for my live cover music shows. I’m most proud of the songwriting work that I’ve completed. There’s not a better feeling than writing a song for another artist after you’ve studied them and they fall in love with it and make it their own. Getting paid for it is even better!
I’m set apart from others because I’m me. The writing style is a lot like my persona. I can be rugged, soft-gentle and warm, a woman deeply in love or a woman scorned. I can also be a little bit of a player too. (lol)
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m planning to build a writing team consisting of a few writers to be able to deliver an all-around songwriting service for all genres. I’m also in the middle of wrapping up my 2nd EP.
