Today we’d like to introduce you to Aryan Rashed.
Hi Aryan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am an academic at heart who has always had a passion for education. I went to the University of California for undergrad and Stanford for my master’s degree and later went on to law school.
Fitness was always a passion of mine and it became the vehicle for service and impact. I fell in love with Pilates and later went on to create TREMBLE. TREMBLE is a high-intensity, low-impact workout that combines the best of strength training, cardio, and Pilates-inspired movements all in one.
But even more, it’s a community. We are based out of South Florida with 7 locations in Miami, in New York in both Soho and a pop-up in the Hamptons, and Nevada. Locations in Doral, Lafayette, and Boca are slated to open this year and early next year with more coming soon!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s hardly ever a smooth road in business. Pandemic was a challenge for most if not all, brick-and-mortar businesses. It’s not something most people envision going into business. I think we did the absolute best we could with the resources and information we had. As a team, we hit the books to make sure we’d come out stronger than. ever when we reopened. As a fitness community, we came together as business owners.
I knew that if we had a shot out of this, I wouldn’t take time. for granted and came up with an expansion plan. We began negotiating new leases, upgrading our training program, updating spaces and systems and programming on the back end, and focused on new strategies. I learned how to communicate and listen better. But most importantly, I learned that hard times can create strong people.
Through strength and struggle, we found opportunity, change, and light.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
TREMBLE is a high-intensity, low-impact workout that combines the best of strength training, cardio, and Pilates-inspired movements all in one. You will see both beginners and professional athletes in class. It’s a workout that is for men and women of all ages and backgrounds and that’s special to us.
We see people grow in classes both physically and mentally and focus on progress. We focus on making an impact and starting as a small business based out of Miami and now seeing this grow across the country is an incredible process. We are proud to bring something out of Miami to the rest of the country.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think one thing that the pandemic proved is that humans still want connection.
There is so much we can do remotely and from home these days but we saw our clients come back to our studios because not everything is replaceable. While convenience is important. Our relationships, and routines. Identities, and communities. I love that there are more options but I think the human element is still so important.
I think we will see a re-emergence of physical spaces for fitness with new technologies and an emphasis on recovery.
