So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My love for parties started when I was a child. Family means everything to me. I have two siblings, and over a dozen cousins, and we all grew up together. There was always a reason for a celebration, whether it be for a birthday or a holiday. I loved hearing the laughter in the air, and seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces as we ate, danced, and posed for pictures. After I started my own family, I realized I wanted to help other people experience the same joy I was recreating for my children. I love the glamour of planning adult events, but children’s events have a special place in my heart.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Happi Smilez Creation has experienced some obstacles and challenges as we build our brand. Every challenge or obstacle is ultimately a learning experience and gives us the opportunity to grow. Our team continues to evolve, as well as the complexity of our events.

What were you like growing up?
I have always enjoyed helping others, and that’s probably why I am also a registered nurse. Every December, I would get excited about helping my mom decorate the house for Christmas, which is my favorite holiday. Feeling like I was part of the “decorating team” made me feel accomplished, and I would always volunteer to help set up for all my family parties. I’m actually an introverted person, but my personality comes alive through designing events and choosing one of a kind decor. I am blessed to be able to speak through my work and remarkable attention to detail.
