Meet Angie Zavala of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Zavala.

Hi Angie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
How it all started was from the root. My root is my culture. My parents immigrated from Honduras and instilled in me that hard work and self-belief are everything. “I came for you to be the star.” When you grow up hearing that, you grow up knowing there’s no room to play small. So as soon as I graduated high school, I moved from my small hometown to New York.

I lived the dream, I went to fashion school, worked at PR firms, interned for NYFW, and worked under Marc Fisher. Then life shifted. Alignment kicked in. I realized I wanted a different pace and a different purpose. I moved to Miami in 2020, and I love the quality of life I’ve created here. I entered real estate and I own it. I’m a kick-ass realtor who works hard for my people and builds relationships that matter.

That’s how I got here, believing in myself, betting on myself, and honoring where I come from.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Life gets hard, and it comes in waves. But that’s part of the journey. I always say we’re in the circle of life, and every season is shaping us into who we’re meant to become.
There have been moments where I felt overwhelmed, unsure, or questioned if I was doing enough. In those times, I remind myself to give myself grace. I let myself feel it for a moment, then I shift my focus back to my blessings. The challenges have made me more grounded and more intentional. They’ve shaped my character and the way I show up for others. I’m grateful for that.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a Real Estate Agent, I’m more than just someone who unlocks doors. I’m a dedicated advisor, deeply invested in understanding my clients’ stories, lifestyles, and priorities, because where we live is incredibly personal. I specialize in helping individuals navigate life transitions, whether it’s relocation, investment, downsizing, upsizing, or purchasing their first home. My clients value my hands-on approach, open communication, and genuine commitment to their success. I am most proud of the trust I’ve earned. People confide in me, and I honor that trust. I bring empathy, transparency, and strategic thinking to every step. What differentiates me is that I focus on building connections, rather than just making sales. I am here to guide, empower, and create a grounded, human-centered experience.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I love a good podcast! The Mindset Mentor and The Mel Robbins Podcast have been big for me. They’ve helped me stay grounded, build discipline, and align myself with my goals. I’ll usually listen to an episode in the morning or while I’m driving to showings. It keeps my mindset sharp and reminds me to stay focused on the bigger picture.
