Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Armada.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Angie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I began blogging in 2011. (AngieArmada.com) Mostly beauty and skincare posts. As time went on my social media and Blog incorporated Motherhood and Lifestyle posts. At this point, I have transitioned into full-time lifestyle blogging. All of my life I had always had a heart for the needy and had been waiting for the “Right time” to DO something. As my following grew, I knew that I needed to use my platform for a greater cause. So I started Small Seeds Grow Big Trees. Small seeds is still in the beginning stages but, so far we have fed over 100 people in need, we have supplied school supplies to an underprivileged school and we are currently collecting toys and raising funds for Christmas gifts for children in need. I say “We” because everyone has been SO supportive in this endeavor.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting Small Seeds wasn’t hard. Once I made the decision to start, collecting and shopping and physically going out and feeding the homeless, doing my best to make a difference has never been the difficult part.
Spreading the word and shining light on Small seeds has been tough. All I ever really want is that other people be inspired by my actions to get up and do something kind for someone else. Sharing, and engaging on the social media account is a great way to show support for small organizations such as Small Seeds Grow Big Trees.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Small Seeds Grow Big Trees story. Tell us more about your organization.
Small Seeds Grow Big Trees specializes in acts of kindness and helping the needy in our community. We feed the homeless, host school supply drives, we have even collected and donated to those suffering in the Bahamas after the recent natural disasters.
Small Seeds is one person, surrounded by supportive people in the community. Our village is that of likeminded people who just want to see our city thrive.
Inspiring people to commit random acts of kindness is what makes me the proudest.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck has never been a factor in this adventure. We actively make choices to help others. No act of kindness is too small.
