Meet Andres Scholtz in South Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andres Scholtz.

Andres, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since I was a kid I used to draw and paint. My grandfather on my father side is also a painter. I never took a class and pressure of getting a job in the corporate world, I did several times I got in trouble at work for not working and just drawing and paint with their supplies. After working in AT&T for 16 years and not been happy with my self and not giving my best at work and AT&T was not happy with my performance. I decided to work for myself and follow my dream to be and artist. After a year of self-taught and many long and existing hours perfecting my craft, I finally made it and got signed by a gallery exclusively.

Now I can spend more time with my daughter, family and show everyone to follow your dream specially my daughter.

All this at age 40. Is never too late to start.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not easy at all…

* The biggest problem is money. I have spent all my savings to pay bills and supplies.
* Network, how to show more of your work and make it different from everyone else.
* Manage yourself: now I work for myself and I have to learn the business side of art.
* Consistency
* How to balance the emotions too keep pushing and keep your motivations high.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Andres Scholtz – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m an artist who paints for a living.

My work is known for my 3D effects made with paint painting. I work mostly on Acrylic and Spray paint.

Well there are many proud moment, specially coming from not knowing anything to become and artist sign exclusively by a gallery in just one year.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
There are many more plans.

I want to span myself to a bigger audience not just in Miami area. Go international and put my name and Miami on the Map for great amazing art.

Not only paint but sculpture too.

Things are moving fast but I love it and I wasn’t more take over the art world.
