Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana V. Hernandez.
Ana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Three years ago, I decided to create AV8CH and began to sell wholesale clothing, swimwear and accessories. It wasn’t until 2018 when I realized what I truly wanted AV8CH to be. Around this time last year, I brought you all into a NEW journey, my forever journey. I launched my very first Swimwear collection. My very own brand. After lots of sketching, fabric swatches, tears, and sweat, I was able to not only launch pieces I knew women would feel their most confident in, but I was able to showcase who I am behind those designs. My first design will always be my baby, the Culebra Reversible Bikini Set. While it was something I was dying to show to the world, it was the most nerve wrecking thing for me as well. The vulnerability I felt was like no other. When you design your own pieces, everything becomes more personal. AV8CH is me, showcased throughout sketches and patterns. I always came across thoughts like, “What if it isn’t everything they expected?” ” But what if it is?” ‘What if this fails.”
Looking back, it’s been a year of pure growth; HUGE milestones were met, while many obstacles and personal battles were thrown to me as well. While no one wants to go through obstacles, they really teach you how to adjust and remind you that we can only control so much in this crazy world. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I can’t thank you all enough for your endless support. Here’s to many years of AV8CH by AVH.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

AV8CH – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
AV8CH is known for lux high-end Swimwear. As the designer behind AV8CH, I am able to express my passion for fashion throughout my minimal modern pieces with a vintage twist. Each timeless piece at AV8CH has it’s very own unique story to tell.
Something I am most proud of is being able to feel women feel great in their bodies through my designs and fabric picks. As a woman, I know many of us struggle with body confidence. At AV8CH, I focus on empowering women to love and feel great in their own skin. I truly believe that in a world where you can be anything, be your own muse.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment to this day has been signing with Miami Swim Week powered by Art Hearts Fashion. While this pandemic may have gotten the best of this year, it’s still been a huge milestone for me.
