Meet Ana Berenguer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Cristina Berenguer. Ana and her team shared their story with us below.

Ana Cristina Berenguer, Esq., is a personal injury attorney and one of the founding partners at Abogadas305. She was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Ana received her Juris Doctor from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, Orlando, Florida in May 2019 and her Bachelor of Business Administration in business management from Barry University, Miami, Florida in December 2015. While in law school, she interned with the Orange County Legal Aid Society and Guardian Ad Litem program and was also a volunteer advocate for children.

Ana began her legal career at a Coral Gables, Florida law office where she handled family law matters including divorce, preparation of prenuptial agreements, alimony, child custody and timesharing issues, relocation, modification actions, and paternity disputes. Thereafter, she began working as an associate at a personal injury firm focusing on auto personal injury cases from the inception of the case through trial or settlement.

In addition, Ana has experience handling cases involving accidents and serious bodily injuries. And then decided to switch to the defense realm to gain more knowledge. Having represented insurance companies, Ms. Berenguer wanted to use her knowledge for the greater good by helping the injured get the compensation they deserve. Above all, Ana is passionate about helping people in need and ensuring that injured clients get the justice and compensation they deserve.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. It has always been my dream to open up my firm and serve my local community, and give our clients personalized attention, my clients are like family to me. My friend, Vicky, and I had been talking about it for quite some time, we shared the same values and goals. After over a year of planning, saving money, and the support of our husbands and other friends and family we launched our firm in September of last year.

At the time our firm opened, I had just given birth to my beautiful baby girl the month before and Vicky also has an 18-month-old and a 3-year-old. Vicky and I both strongly felt that we should not have to decide between our family, our caretaking responsibilities, and our work. However, we still experience guilt and emotional strain due to divided attention. Feel guilty for feeling we are not present enough for our children during crucial moments or missing important milestones.

Despite these struggles, Vicky and I find ways to navigate these challenges. Seek support from our husbands, family, and friends, establish clear boundaries, practice effective time management, and prioritize self-care to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
