Today we’d like to introduce you to Amit Amram.
Hi Amit, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my musical journey as a metalhead musician, playing lead guitar and vocals.
Slowly, I started to record my band’s demos, my friends’ demos, and friends of friends. Until I figure out my true passion for production, engineering, and mixing. I got my degree in music production and sound engineering, then got a job at the legendary London Bridge Studios in Seattle, WA, but always kept on growing my brand and connecting with artists, singer-songwriters, and bands.
Today, I own my boutique recording studios, where I get to work with so many talented artists from all over the world while focusing on helping fellow musicians develop their own music careers by producing top-notch records, that sound authentic, fresh, and exciting.
You can listen to some of my work, or see some of my artists on my website: www.AMITSOUND.com
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Creating and maintaining a career in the music industry is never easy or smooth.
There’s a fine line between doing what you love every day, and over-work yourself, to the point you’re so overwhelmed you stop enjoying it like you did when it was just a hobby. I think every professional musician gets to this stage at some point, but you have to learn and develop a balance that is good for your mental health, there are many different ways of doing it.
Outsourcing is a great way to unload some of the craft and keep the content consistent and qualitative.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I created my brand out of passion, love, and community.
I believe this is the best way to do business, find something you’re so passionate about that you’d work on it even on your vacations.
Once you have this, you’ll keep working to be better and better, you’ll never want to give up or change direction, and you’ll genuinely care about the quality of services you offer.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I consume a ton of self-growth content. For businesses in the creative field, I highly recommend “6 Figure Creative”.
