Amarys, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello I’m Amarys Hernandez, a belly to baby photographer based out of Miami, Florida. I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby, and family photography.
There is just something so special about documenting the love in families. I knew during my first newborn session it was my calling. Here I am nine years later and I still absolutely love what I do.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Running your own business can be very daunting. There are a lot of learning curves, not all babies are the same. Some require more love, time, and patience. I would say the most rewarding part of it all is watching all of my client’s little ones grow up. From their newborn session to their first year cake smash session where their personalities really start to show, it makes all the hard work worth it. Not to mention building lasting relationships with amazing families.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I mix my creative eye with emotion through what I envision. Most describe my work as creamy, colorful, and bright. I capture the smallest details that mean the most.
I customize every session to be unique for each and every family. Including how to preserve your pictures in the most special way.
Parents won’t have to worry about their little one due to the fact newborn safety is my NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. They are able to relax while I manage everything. Providing a stress free experience is vital to me.
I’m one text away for each and every client through the complete process. You will have a customized photographer who can provide you with the one on one time you absolutely deserve.
What were you like growing up?
I grew up here in Miami, Flordia. One of the biggest inspirations in my life to document everything was my grandmother. She herself did not have siblings or a father growing up and that was all she wanted.
So when she came to the United States and met my grandfather they both raised an incredible family. Their devotion for family really stuck with me. I hope to one day raise a family with the same values.
When I was given my first digital camera at 10 years old by my father that was what I documented. The love within my family.
This is what grew my love for photographing the love in families today.
