Meet Allison Espinoza of Miami / South Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Espinoza.

Hi Allison, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began pursuing acting professionally in 2025, after years of training and exploring different forms of artistic expression. I trained at Adriana Barraza Acting Studio, along with other workshops and film training, and I’ve been slowly building my path through theater and film.

This year has been especially meaningful because I’ve had the opportunity to be part of two feature films, *Trapped* and *Where the Water and I Meet*, as well as perform in *María La O* at the Manuel Artime Theatre, where I had the chance to act and dance. I’ve also begun working with representation in the United States and Peru, which is opening new possibilities for me as I continue developing my career.

At this stage, I’m focused on continuing to grow as an actress, taking on challenging roles, and creating work that allows me to connect with audiences in a meaningful way. I’m still at the beginning of this journey, and that is something I find exciting because there is so much more to learn, experience, and create.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges for me has been stepping into acting professionally while also learning how to navigate an industry that was completely new to me. I would go to networking events knowing nobody, and somehow I had to find the courage to approach people and start conversations. It was very difficult for me because I had never done anything like that before. Just approaching someone and talking to them felt crazy to me.

Another challenge was English. I could speak English, but not at a level where I felt completely comfortable acting in it. The good thing is that this community has been so welcoming and warm that I never felt like an outsider.

Every challenge has pushed me to learn something new about myself and to keep going. I don’t think the road has to be smooth for it to be the right one.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As an actress, I’m especially drawn to characters with emotional depth, strong women who can be tough and vulnerable at the same time. I enjoy roles that challenge me and allow me to explore different sides of myself.

What I’m most proud of is the courage it took to start this career and keep pursuing it, even when I knew I had a lot to learn. I started professionally in 2025, and since then I’ve been able to work in theater, commercials, short films, and feature films.

I think what sets me apart is the combination of acting and dance. Movement has always been a big part of how I express myself, and I bring that physicality and discipline into my acting. I also think my background has given me a different perspective and a lot of stories I still want to tell.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can connect with me through my social media, where I share my work and my journey as an actress and dancer. I’m always open to connecting with filmmakers, directors, actors, dancers, and other artists who are creating something meaningful and looking for people to collaborate with.

For those who want to support me, simply following my journey, sharing my work, watching the projects I’m part of, or recommending me for an opportunity means a lot. Every connection and opportunity can open a new door.
