Meet Allison “Ally Bee” Findeiss of Ally Bee Design in Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison “Ally Bee” Findeiss.

Allison, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, always enjoying artistic expression from dance to photography. I decided to learn website design one summer between Junior and Senior year of college. Already well versed in branding and logo design, I knew this was the next step in building an agency someday to help my creative friends and the local community. Shortly after becoming proficient in web design, I acquired my first client a restaurant called Heirloom in Charlotte, NC. I created the branding and website for Heirloom a farm-to-table restaurant. It was a great first true client experience as I grew exponentially during this time. Fast forward to graduation and I was determined to someday run and own my own branding agency. Throughout the last few years, since graduating from the University of Miami in May of 2014, I have been moonlighting to grow Ally Bee Design. Since then, I have made large strides and have evolved my one daydream into a reality. I now run my agency full time and I’m working feverishly to grow and employ my creative friends full time in the future. I can confidently say my business is continuing to grow and I’m excited for the challenges ahead!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’ve had many long nights working on projects while having a full-time job. I have never stopped the business or faltered from my long term goal of having a branding and creative design agency.

Like most small business owners, I have learned the hard way that some clients are not a great fit and that tight contracts are important. I’ve had strong women supporting my vision which has helped me stay on course to reaching my long-term career goals.

I’m an ambivert, so it took me some time to feel comfortable going to networking events. I’ve learned to get out of my comfort zone at networking events by asking others about their businesses and sharing my business goals.
I’m passionate about helping my client’s businesses grow, so I tend to have cobbler syndrome and leave my business website and marketing behind. It is a goal of mine to allot time for my business marketing content.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I love creating more buzz about businesses. The Ally Bee Design specialty is increasing brand awareness about businesses/helping customers find businesses that solve their problems. My team and I are the creative marketing department of our clients’ business. We are a partner in their growth, we set and reach goals together. We are a team with aligned goals.

Ally Bee Design helps clients create their foundational business toolbox (logo design, website, marketing/sales collateral, brand guideline) and strategic lead generation marketing.

When you look back, what are you most proud of?
My proudest moment was when a client contacted me to share that she receives so many leads from her marketing lead funnel that I created she has to refer new clients to her colleagues. These are absolutely the moments for which I stay up late working to help my clients.

She recently left this LinkedIn recommendation on my profile, “Allison has a great business mind fused with creativity and ingenuity. Her marketing knowledge is on point or one step ahead of the industry. She has an amazing work ethic that produces an equally amazing end result.”
