Today we’d like to introduce you to Allen Sherrod.
Allen, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Atown and I am from Philadelphia. I have always been a person who has enjoyed putting a smile on people’s faces. I never really tried to be a social media influencer, to be honest, though. God blessed me with the gift to spread love and positivity and it happened naturally were one of my videos went viral and since then, I have been famous.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Growing up, I went through a lot of trials and tribulations. Often times I was ridiculed on the way I look. I used this in a positive way to motivate me to keep moving forward in my goals in life. It has always been an ongoing battle being that I am on dialysis but I never let it be an excuse to not follow my goals in life.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
My comedic style involves me just being myself. I don’t like to plan my skits because they always come out better when I’m just having fun and not thinking about it.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I stay in good spirits by putting my full trust in the Lord and giving thanks everyday for what I have.
