Hi Alexandra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began riding horses at a very young age, and from that moment forward, they became a central part of my life. Growing up in East Boca Raton, horses were not right around the corner, but that never stopped me. I found a nearby barn early on and did whatever I could to help around the farm in exchange for riding lessons. It was there that I met a close group of friends who shared the same passion, and together we built a life centered around horses.
Horses gave me purpose. They depended on me to show up every day, and I did. They brought me peace, focus, and a sense of grounding, and they have remained a constant source of joy and meaning throughout my life.
I opened Rayshell Ranch Equestrian to share that same connection with others and to create a place where people can experience the beauty of true horsemanship. We offer trail rides, beginner and advanced English and western riding lessons, horsemanship education, and hands-on instruction in proper horse care. Our approach is rooted in patience, trust, and respect for the horse, both in and out of the saddle.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say it was easy, just less scary. As humans, we naturally fear disappointing others, and that fear followed me when I first considered starting Rayshell Ranch Equestrian. I worried that no one would reach out, that we wouldn’t stay busy, and that the dream I cared so deeply about might not take hold. Still, there was always the question of what if.
Eventually, I set those fears aside and chose to move forward. I trusted my experience, my passion, and the program I envisioned. What began as a leap of faith has grown into something truly special, a program that is not only successful, but deeply rewarding. Watching riders gain confidence, form connections with horses, and discover the same sense of purpose I once did has made every risk worth it.

Rayshell Ranch Equestrian is a horsemanship-focused riding program built on connection, trust, and respect for the horse. We offer trail rides, beginner through advanced English and Western riding lessons, horsemanship education, and hands-on instruction in proper horse care. Our goal goes far beyond teaching people how to ride, we teach people how to truly understand and partner with the horse.
What sets us apart is our emphasis on relationship-based horsemanship. Every rider, regardless of age or experience, is encouraged to learn the “why” behind what they do. We believe that confident, capable riders are created through patience, education, and mutual respect, not rushed lessons or one-size-fits-all programs. Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I wouldn’t say luck has played a huge role in my life or in building my business. What has carried me forward is hard work, persistence, and consistency. I put in the effort required to achieve what I want, and I approach every goal with dedication and determination. For me, success comes from showing up, staying committed, and never giving up—even when things feel challenging.
