My journey started with a simple passion for creating great burgers and bringing people together through food. What began as a small idea quickly turned into a mission to serve high-quality, handcrafted burgers with unique flavors and fresh ingredients. Over time, I invested countless hours learning, experimenting, and refining every detail of the menu and customer experience.
Today, I am the founder of Burger Blast, a gourmet burger concept focused on delivering memorable food experiences at local events and pop-ups. Through hard work, consistency, and a commitment to quality, Burger Blast has grown into a brand that people recognize and look forward to visiting. While we’ve come a long way, I’m excited about continuing to grow, innovate, and share our passion for great burgers with even more people.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been an easy journey. After emigrating to the United States with the ambition of growing Burger Blast, I faced many major life changes, including the challenge of being on my own and adapting to a completely new environment while working hard to move forward.
I gradually started by cooking for friends, which allowed me to continue developing my passion and refining my concept. Later, I took the next step by participating in farmers markets, where I was able to connect directly with customers and continue building the brand.
Today, I can proudly say that this dream is becoming a reality, as I have been able to establish my own business and continue growing Burger Blast.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Blast House is a concept that was born in Venezuela approximately six years ago. During the pandemic, I began cooking from home, further developing my passion for gastronomy. I hold a degree in Business Administration and I am also a professionally trained chef in Venezuela, a path I chose inspired from a very young age by my connection to cooking, watching my mother and family in the kitchen.
I specialize in grilled burgers, which are my true passion. I firmly believe that grilling enhances the natural flavor of the beef, creating an “explosion of flavor” when combined with carefully selected ingredients.
Beyond the food itself, I have always been known for being a joyful and sociable person, which has allowed me to build strong connections with many people. Through Blast House, my goal has been not only to offer great food, but also to create a warm and welcoming experience where service plays a fundamental role.
What sets Blast House apart is our commitment to high-quality ingredients. We use certified Angus beef, artisan brioche buns, and unique house-made sauces that define our flavor profile. Every detail is carefully crafted to deliver a premium experience.
I am especially proud of how far the brand has come, starting from nothing and growing step by step. Today, I can proudly say that my dream is becoming a reality.
In addition, we offer catering services that bring the Blast House experience directly to our customers. Everything is prepared fresh on-site, whether at the beach, in a backyard, or any special location, delivering a fresh, interactive, and uncommon burger experience in Miami.
Today, the brand has evolved and is no longer called Burger Blast; it is now known as Blast House. This change was made to support our continued growth and build a stronger identity. The name Blast House better represents the essence of the project: a “house” where experiences of flavor, family, and community come together, combined with the explosive flavors of our burgers.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
During my time at university, I had the opportunity to develop solid experience in networking, as I took several courses related to this field. I have always been passionate about the idea of connecting people and brands through a shared identity or project. For three years, I worked with a men’s haircare brand (Rolda Cosmetics LLC) here in Miami, an experience that allowed me to refine my networking skills, learning how to effectively approach people, build strong relationships, and expand the brand’s reach through my personality and communication style. Additionally, I remain in constant learning, consuming educational content and continuously training myself, which allows me to keep growing and evolving both personally and professionally.
