Meet Aida Phillips

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aida Phillips.

Aida, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my career in 1999 at Montemayor y Asociados in San Antonio, Texas. I worked with National brands like Corona Beer, Daimler Chrysler, Kmart among others. In 2002, I moved to Miami to be the PR director at Publicis Sanchez and Levitan where I managed public relations for Chivas Regal, BMW and other local clients. In 2004, I helped manage the Conexion PR Miami office where we worked with brands like Ford Motor Company, Payless Shoe Source and Zubi Advertising. In 2005 I started working on my last agency job with Accent Marketing working with General Motors, Chivas Regal and Farmers insurance. In 2009 I went on my own after being laid off in December of 2008 and have been doing what I do best since then. I was lucky enough to start my SoloPReneurship partnering with 4DiazVargas working on a National campaign for Castrol Oil. I also included actors, singers and celebrities in my portfolio. Since 2016, I have been working as an independent contractor with The Allen Lewis Agency as lead to the Hispanic market for Nissan. Working in PR is my passion and the people and places I have come in contact with have given me the greatest satisfaction in my career.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I have been extremely lucky to work alongside amazing professionals and have helped me achieve successful campaigns through the years. Of course, there are always bumps in the road, but I always like to focus on the positive.

Alright – so let’s talk business.  What else should we know about you and your career so far?
My company is a multicultural PR firm. I help businesses and people get noticed by providing PR council and strategy. I specialize in the US Hispanic market, and I’m known to give the best service with a positive attitude. What sets me apart from others is my successful track record in PR campaigns.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan to continue to work hard and be passionate about what I bring to the table. 20 plus years of experience is something I am very proud of, and it shows in the campaigns I have a chance to participate in. The world as we know it has changed so much in 2020, we are living unprecedented times. I hope we can all be able to do what we love really soon. In addition to my multicultural PR firm, I am the founder of an adoption organization called Born From Our Souls. We guide and advice people in the adoption process since 2011.
