Meet Aida Dominguez of NMBrentals LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aida Dominguez.

Hi Aida, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
When you manage hotels for 35 years, you get used to reviewing financial reports from the comfort of an office. But when I decided to move to Miami to be close to my children and launch my own short-term rental business, the market gave me a profound lesson in humility and passion. In the beginning, there was no large team behind me. It was just me.
The financial fear at that moment was overwhelming. Investing everything I had built into a completely new format, with the terrifying thought that it might not work out, kept me up at night.
I clearly remember the first time I prepared an apartment entirely by myself here in Miami. I was folding the towels with the exact five-star crease I had mastered during my career, double-checking the coffee maker, and making sure the balcony windows were absolutely spotless. I paused for a second, looked around the apartment, and smiled. I thought: ‘I spent over two decades directing hundreds of people, and today I am here, putting my own hands into this dream.’
Bringing the rigorous discipline of luxury hospitality into the Airbnb format in Miami was exactly what made us take off. Guests immediately notice when a property is managed by a seasoned professional who loves what they do. Today, that intense fear has turned into absolute pride. My apartments are so highly demanded that they are fully booked an entire year in advance. Reaching this point required getting my hands dirty and overcoming immense doubt, but it was worth every single second because I built a successful legacy right next to the people I love most.”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Getting the right personnel to do cleaning and/or repairing was a struggle.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our company is deeply committed to ensuring that every single appliance and piece of equipment in our apartments is in pristine condition; if something isn’t perfect, we replace it immediately. I absolutely hate arriving at a place only to find it dirty or with things broken, so we make it our personal mission to ensure that our guests never have to experience that in our apartments. We are not perfect, but we do our best effort to have satisfied clients and proof or it is that we have recurrent tenants.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
To be honest, I don’t attribute our success to luck. For us, hard work and always putting the tenant first has been our true way of working. In this industry, you create your own outcomes through dedication.Of course, unexpected challenges happen—what some might call ‘bad luck’—but when your core philosophy is centered on the guest’s experience and relentless effort, you are always able to overcome those hurdles with your own energy. True luck is just the result of consistency, high standards, and never cutting corners. Your effort is what ultimately drives the business forward, not chance.
