Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaantonio.
Hi Aaantonio, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Around the age of eight years old, I decided to start writing poems and songs on pieces of paper. I was naturally inclined to write about things I observed in life so far and about my emotions. This was my way to cope. Fast forward to 2018, I decided to write songs and release them every time. Through persistence, I found my sound and began meeting people in the industry. I’m just a person who loves to create music and things that have never existed before. I also love to express how I’m feeling and the different situations I go through in each song.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road, and I am very grateful that it hasn’t been. I have had to learn how to handle different situations, whether it has been talking to artists I would like to collab with or marketing tactics, it has allowed me to grow not only as an artist but as a person. I have had to release each song on my own terms and make sacrifices to expand myself to get to the next level.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a musician who writes songs about love and heartbreak. My sound is a mix between Pop and Rap and I write all of my songs. I like to write about experiences I have gone through as well. I am most proud of how far I’ve come, I see everything as a journey and I’m just happy and proud of my growth as an artist and as a person. My sound and voice sets me apart from other artists. I have a unique sound and I tend to post very artistic things too.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I would say to just be yourself and to be a genuine person. I just like to be friendly with everyone and it doesn’t hurt to be kind. We are all human.
