Life & Work with Yesica Glikman of Miami-Buenos Aires-Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yesica Glikman.

Hi Yesica, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story is deeply connected to art, reinvention, and the pursuit of opportunity in the United States. I came here as a dreamer, determined to build a creative career, but I quickly learned how challenging it can be to navigate the immigration process — especially for artists.
When I first arrived, I had big hopes but very little clarity. I had to learn everything from the ground up: how the industry works, how to present my talent, and how to build a strong professional path that would allow me to grow. I went through obstacles, rejections, and moments of doubt, but those experiences pushed me to discover a level of strength and resilience I didn’t know I had.
That personal journey changed me, and it naturally led me to start helping other artists who were facing the same challenges. I began sharing information, guiding people who felt lost, and offering the kind of support I once needed myself. Over time, I realized there was a huge need for a clear, reliable, and human resource for anyone trying to obtain the Artist Visa in the United States.
That’s what inspired my new book, “Visa de Artista de Estados Unidos: Haz realidad tus sueños!” now available on Amazon. I wrote it because I know exactly what it feels like to go through this process — the questions, the confusion, the uncertainty. In this book, I put everything I learned: the steps, the requirements, practical examples, and the emotional journey behind it all. My goal was to create a guide that not only informs but truly empowers.
Today, my mission is to support artists, creators, and dreamers who want to build a future in this country. If my story can help someone believe in their talent and take that next step, then every part of my journey has been worth it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all — the road has been anything but smooth, and that’s exactly why my work today means so much to me.
When I first started my journey in the United States, I faced a lot of uncertainty. As an artist, you don’t always have a predictable path. You question yourself constantly — Is my work good enough? Am I doing this right? Will I ever get the chance I’m hoping for? The immigration process adds another layer of stress, because one mistake or misunderstanding can change everything.
One of the biggest struggles was simply not knowing where to find accurate information. I remember spending hours researching, trying to understand requirements, rules, deadlines, and what “extraordinary ability” really meant in practical terms. There were moments when I felt completely overwhelmed and alone. I didn’t have someone guiding me or telling me what to expect — I had to figure it out step by step.
I also went through professional setbacks, emotional ups and downs, and times where I doubted whether I would be able to keep pushing forward. But those challenges taught me resilience, organization, and the importance of building a strong support system.
And that’s exactly why I wrote my book. The struggles I faced turned into the foundation for “Visa de Artista de Estados Unidos: Haz realidad tus sueños!” I wanted to create the resource I desperately needed when I was going through the process — something clear, human, inspirational, and practical. Instead of letting those difficult moments stop me, I used them to help others avoid the same confusion and stress.
So no, it wasn’t a smooth road. But every challenge became part of my purpose — helping other artists turn their dreams into reality.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a very creative person by nature, and over the years I’ve also developed a strong entrepreneurial mindset. I’ve always believed that being an artist and being business-oriented can absolutely go hand in hand. Creativity opens doors, but strategy and financial awareness are what allow you to actually walk through them. That combination has shaped the way I work and the projects I choose to take on.
Today, my work focuses on guiding artists and creative professionals who want to build a career in the United States. I specialize in helping them understand the opportunities available to them — especially when it comes to the Artist Visa. Through my experience, I’ve gained insight into the requirements, the process, and the mindset needed to succeed, and people often come to me for clarity, motivation, and honest guidance.
I think what I’m most known for is being able to explain complex things in a simple, human way. I’m very hands-on, very transparent, and I genuinely care about seeing people grow. I’ve been in their position, so I understand the fears, the doubts, and the dreams behind it all.
One of the things I’m most proud of is my book, “Visa de Artista de Estados Unidos: Haz realidad tus sueños!” It represents everything I’ve learned — not just the practical steps, but the emotional side of the process that no one talks about. Writing it felt like a way to give back, to empower others the same way I once needed empowerment.
What sets me apart is that I combine creativity with entrepreneurship. I don’t just think like an artist — I think like a businesswoman. I believe that your talent deserves to be treated like a professional career, with structure, strategy, and financial vision. That approach helps artists see themselves differently, take themselves more seriously, and understand that success is not just about passion — it’s also about planning, discipline, and smart decision-making.
At the end of the day, my mission is to help creatives realize that their dreams are truly achievable when they combine art, mindset, and business. And that’s exactly the message behind my work and my book.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Absolutely — and this is for anyone reading who has a dream they’re ready to bring to life.
