Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiandre .L, Director Of Runway And Casting Production.
Hi Tiandre, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Before there was visibility, recognition, or even a clear roadmap, I knew my life was connected to purpose.
My journey has been shaped by seasons of rebuilding, growth, and transformation. As a young widow and mother navigating hardship, I experienced firsthand what it feels like to survive without consistent support, resources, or safe spaces to heal and grow. Those experiences didn’t break me—they gave me vision.
That vision became Tiandre’s Treasure Chest Inc., an organization created to break generational cycles of brokenness, dependency, trauma, and emotional emptiness by empowering youth, women, and families to rediscover purpose, strengthen relationships, develop life skills, and build sustainable futures.
But over time, I realized empowerment is not only emotional—it is also visible.
The way a woman sees herself, carries herself, and believes in herself matters. That understanding expanded my work into creative direction, runway casting, empowerment production, and fashion-centered experiences designed to restore confidence, identity, and visibility.
That evolution gave rise to Tiandre.L and our signature production, “The Runway of Life: Mother & Daughter Empowerment Experience.”
What makes this experience special is that it goes far beyond fashion. We bring together mothers, daughters, grandmothers, and women from all walks of life and guide them through a transformational journey that includes empowerment workshops, mentorship, bonding experiences, creative expression, and a culminating runway presentation.
For many participants, the runway becomes more than a stage—it becomes a symbol of healing, confidence, reconnection, and personal growth.
Today, I operate at the intersection of purpose, community impact, and creative empowerment. Whether through Tiandre’s Treasure Chest Inc. or The Runway of Life Experience, everything I build is centered around helping people feel seen, valued, restored, and empowered to evolve.
And while we’ve made meaningful progress, I truly believe we are only beginning to scratch the surface of what’s possible.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
Building something meaningful while simultaneously growing through your own personal challenges requires a different level of strength. There were seasons where I was carrying emotional weight, responsibility, uncertainty, and vision all at the same time—while still leading, serving others, and showing up consistently.
One of the biggest challenges was building before there were resources, recognition, or infrastructure. There were moments when all I truly had was faith, discipline, and a clear sense of purpose. I had to learn how to stay committed to the vision long before other people could fully see it.
I’ve also learned that vision can feel isolating at times. When you see something clearly internally before it exists externally, not everyone understands it immediately. Early on, I had to stop taking that personally and learn how to steward the vision with consistency until the right alignment came.
Another challenge has been merging community impact with creative direction. People often understand nonprofit leadership or fashion separately—but not necessarily together. For me, they’ve always been connected. Whether through empowerment programming or runway production, the goal is the same: helping people feel seen, restored, confident, and empowered to evolve.
I’ve also had to learn discernment. Not every opportunity is aligned, and not every space is meant for what you’re building. Protecting the vision became just as important as building it.
One of the most valuable lessons I learned from my mentor was that sometimes you have to say no to good work in order to say yes to the great work. That perspective changed the way I approach opportunities, partnerships, and growth. It taught me to become more intentional about alignment, capacity, and long-term impact.
But through every challenge, I stayed committed.
Looking back now, I understand that every setback, every delay, and every difficult season helped shape the foundation of what we are building today.
So no, it hasn’t been easy—but it has absolutely been purposeful.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a creative, I don’t simply design or direct experiences — I create transformational spaces that help people see themselves differently.
Through my creative platform, Tiandre.L, I serve as a runway casting director, empowerment producer, creative director, and fashion model. My work blends fashion, storytelling, community impact, and personal transformation in a way that is intentional, emotionally driven, and purpose-centered.
I specialize in creating experiences that go far beyond appearance. For me, fashion is not just about style — it’s about identity, confidence, healing, visibility, and self-expression.
That philosophy gave rise to The Runway of Life: Mother & Daughter Empowerment Experience, our signature transformational runway production designed to bring generations of women together through empowerment, mentorship, creative expression, and healing-centered experiences.
The production is developed in collaboration with B.Fly Beauty International, led by international designer Ava Stringfellow, whose designs help bring the runway vision to life, alongside longtime creative partner and photographer Reggie Stringfellow, whose visual storytelling captures the beauty, excellence, and emotion of the experience.
What makes The Runway of Life unique is that it is not centered around professional models alone. We intentionally create opportunities for mothers, daughters, grandmothers, and women from all walks of life to participate in a journey that includes empowerment workshops, bonding experiences, runway training, confidence-building, and personal development.
By the time they walk the runway, something deeper has shifted internally. The experience becomes about healing, connection, confidence, rediscovering purpose, and reclaiming personal power.
The vision is further strengthened through collaborative partnerships with community leaders, creatives, and organizations committed to empowerment and cultural impact. Support from Commissioner Christine King and the City of Miami, The Related Group, OTM Entertainment, Mike Smiff, Rondo Smiff, Nikita Love, Kizie The Violist, Vernet Pegues, Tiquana Deloach, Jakisha Barnes, Spotlight Miami, Lady Stella King Bryant, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Liberty City, the Jorge M. Pérez Philanthropic Foundation, and The Miami Foundation has helped expand both the reach and impact of the work.
This mission is deeply connected to the foundation of Tiandre’s Treasure Chest Inc., where we focus on breaking generational cycles through empowerment, mentorship, life development, and community-centered programming for youth, women, and families.
What sets me apart is that I do not separate creativity from purpose.
Everything I build — whether through fashion, media, empowerment programming, or community initiatives — is designed to create meaningful transformation and lasting impact.
What I’m most proud of is the lives being touched through the work.
Watching mothers and daughters reconnect, seeing women regain confidence, and creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and empowered is what matters most to me.
For me, it has never been about creating something that simply looks beautiful.
It has always been about creating something that changes people — and stays with them long after the experience is over.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
First and foremost, I am a wife, a mother, and a grandmother—and those roles are the foundation of everything I do.
Alongside my husband Andre, I’ve built this journey with love, faith, vision, and a deep commitment to legacy. I’m incredibly grateful for his unwavering support through every season of growth, rebuilding, and expansion.
I also carry deep inspiration from my family. My mother, father, and grandfather each expressed themselves through style, creativity, confidence, and presence in ways that shaped me from an early age. From my grandfather’s signature fedora hats to my father’s sharp fashion sense and my mother’s elegance and glamour, I grew up understanding that presentation was more than appearance—it was expression, identity, and confidence.
Music, fashion, creativity, and storytelling were always part of my environment, and those early influences continue to shape the work I create today through Tiandre.L and The Runway of Life Experience.
Above all, I give God the glory for every opportunity, partnership, and connection along this journey. My faith has remained the foundation through every challenge, transition, and new season of growth.
What means the most to me is the real-life transformation that happens through this work.
I’ve watched women grow into leadership, regain confidence, rebuild relationships, and step into spaces they once thought were beyond their reach. Seeing mothers, daughters, and generations reconnect in meaningful ways reminds me why this work matters so deeply.
As we prepare for “The Runway of Life: Mother & Daughter Empowerment Experience” on September 26, this season feels especially meaningful because it represents everything we’ve been building toward—healing, confidence, connection, creativity, and legacy.
At the end of the day, this has never been just about fashion, programs, or events.
It’s about people.
It’s about healing.
It’s about transformation.
And it’s about building something that will continue to impact lives long after we are gone.
