Today we’d like to introduce you to Seoul.
Hi Seoul , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started out as a 17-year-old girl from South Florida, fresh out of high school with an undeniable passion for the arts and fashion and a strong desire to leave my mark as an artist and creator.
Growing up, I was always conscious of my height because I was the tallest girl in almost every room. I never imagined that something I once felt self-conscious about would eventually become one of the qualities that shaped my confidence and my career as a model.
When I first entered the industry, I had zero experience, very little guidance, and no team to help me navigate such a huge and unfamiliar world. I had to create my own opportunities. I would save my paychecks little by little to fund my own photoshoots, often working with my baby sister to create images and build my portfolio.
Those early experiences not only helped me develop my portfolio, but also gave me the confidence to put myself out there, meet people, and build meaningful connections within the fashion industry. Eventually, that journey led me to my very first casting, which ultimately resulted in me being signed to a major agency in Miami. Today, I have the opportunity to travel the world, work alongside some of the industry’s most talented creatives and collaborate with incredible brands. Everything I’ve experienced along the way has expanded my perspective and shaped my eye, my taste, and my understanding of myself as a creative. Looking back, I’m proud that I chose to bet on myself. What started as a dream at 17 has become a journey that continues to evolve—and I’m still just getting started.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every journey comes with its challenges, but I believe that’s also the beauty of chasing your dream career. Being the first person in my family to pursue modeling and styling professionally was challenging at first because I didn’t have anyone close to me who could personally guide me or show me how to navigate the industry. During those early stages, I relied heavily on God and my instincts to guide me toward what felt right for my personal growth and development as a creative. I learned to trust the process, even when I didn’t have all the answers.
As I continued to grow, traveling and working with artists and creatives across different fields of entertainment and around the world opened my eyes to just how limitless this industry—and my own potential—could be. I’ve learned that sometimes the biggest challenges are what ultimately force you to discover how much you’re truly capable of.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My name is Seoul, and I specialize in modeling and fashion styling. Recently, I’ve been most proud of making my debut in multiple fashion magazines, including Cultedxo Magazine, Strike Mag, and others. Each feature has been an exciting milestone in my journey and a reflection of how far I’ve come as a creative.
I’m also incredibly proud of my business, Shop Seoul-Searchin, which is my newest baby and a project that’s very close to my heart. Through the shop, I curate vintage pieces specifically for women who have found a sense of identity, confidence, and self-expression through fashion—without judgment or limitations.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I don’t believe there’s one specific way to define success because success is not only subjective, but also deeply personal. It’s something that continues to grow and evolve alongside you. For me, success isn’t simply about reaching a destination or checking off a list of accomplishments. It’s about reaching my milestones while still giving myself the space to grow, evolve, and rest along the way. Being able to honor both my ambition and my need for balance is what makes me feel most confident in the success I’ve created for myself.
