Life & Work with Sandra Brignoni of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Brignoni.

Hi Sandra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
CRFT Travel was born out of something deeply personal: a desire to keep our family close, no matter the miles between us. When my husband, Luis, and I moved from South Florida to Tennessee in 2021, we found ourselves feeling the distance from our loved ones—especially our kids’ grandparents. We wanted more than just holiday visits and FaceTime calls. We wanted shared memories. So, we planned trips together—moments that allowed everyone to reconnect, laugh, and explore something new, side by side.
It was transformative. We saw how travel could bring generations together in the most beautiful way. That’s when we knew this was bigger than just us.
We founded CRFT Travel as a way to give other families the same opportunity—to travel with intention, to connect through meaningful experiences, and to celebrate life together. That purpose became the mission of our company. And soon after, we launched the CRFT Travel Club to help more families experience what we did: travel as a way to grow closer and create lasting memories.
Luis, my husband and business partner, manages all things finance and operations. He keeps the foundation strong so I can focus on curating extraordinary travel experiences. I work with vetted global suppliers and trusted partners to craft personalized journeys that feel seamless, elevated, and deeply intentional.
At CRFT Travel, our mission is to build community through travel. Whether it’s a family reunion, destination wedding, vow renewal, or a group adventure for a business or organization, everything we do centers around bringing people together. I’m especially passionate about helping families carve out time to reconnect and celebrate—because I truly believe that shared experiences are the most powerful legacy we can leave behind.
After a few years in Tennessee, we’ve now returned to Miami, a vibrant, multicultural hub and the perfect home base for our business. Being closer to major cruise ports and international gateways allows us to serve our clients even better—offering hands-on support, site visits, and easy access to some of the world’s most exciting departure points.
CRFT stands for Cruises, Resorts, Flights, and Tours, but it also reflects the craftsmanship and care that defines our work. As a Verified Travel Advisor with ASTA (the American Society of Travel Advisors), and through our affiliations with Virtuoso—the world’s leading network of luxury travel specialists—and Uniglobe Travel Center, we’re able to offer clients exclusive perks, trusted expertise, and insider access they won’t find online.
I like to say I’m your security blanket. My role is to remove the overwhelm, guide you every step of the way, and ensure you’re getting the most value for your investment. Travel isn’t just about where you go—it’s about how it feels when you get there. And I’m here to make sure it feels unforgettable.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not smooth at all—but absolutely worth it.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning that I can’t help everyone, no matter how much I want to. In the early days, I tried to say yes to every request, every price point, every destination. But over time, I realized that to truly deliver the kind of experience I believe in, I had to focus on the type of client who values quality, personalization, and thoughtful planning.
At CRFT Travel, we specialize in luxury and elevated travel experiences. That doesn’t mean five-star everything—but it does mean curated moments, vetted partners, and access to exclusive perks like room upgrades, daily breakfast, late check-out, Wi-Fi, and experiences that make your journey feel seamless and special. Through our Virtuoso affiliation, we’re able to provide incredible value that goes beyond what you’ll find online.
We’re not the cheapest, and we don’t promote deals. What we offer is value for your money—with the kind of service that brings peace of mind. You don’t have to chase down confirmations, sit on hold with suppliers, or figure out insurance options alone. I take care of all of that.
I help prepare you for your travels with comprehensive insurance recommendations, clear expectations, and emergency contacts—even if you’re in Athens in the day and I’m sound asleep in Miami. You’ll always know how to get support. I hold on the phone so you don’t have to. If you’re busy and want to travel but don’t have the time to plan—I handle it all.
You could think of me as your “Security Blanket” in travel—someone who’s always there behind the scenes, making sure everything goes smoothly so you can truly relax and enjoy the journey.
Another barrier has been helping prospective clients understand agent vs. advisor. There’s often confusion between a travel agent and a travel advisor. Here’s how I explain it:
“A travel agent might be incentivized to push certain products based on commission. I’m more like a financial advisor—I’m here to guide you based on what’s best for you and your family, without any pressure to sell. You’re paying for advice and expertise that’s truly aligned with your interests.”
That distinction is important to me because travel is personal—and I want every decision to reflect your unique needs and values.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At CRFT Travel, we design elevated travel experiences for families, groups, and celebrations—everything from multigenerational vacations to weddings, reunions, and business retreats. But what we’re really known for is the way we make people feel: seen, cared for, and completely supported from beginning to end.
My husband Luis and I are both entrepreneurs at heart. Before we founded CRFT Travel, Luis launched one of the first and most successful craft breweries in Miami. He brings the vision and financial operations to our business. My own background blends hospitality, sales, and international business. I hold degrees in International Business and Marketing, and prior to travel, I worked with a major hospital system in South Florida and in pharmaceutical sales—where I was consistently ranked a top performer nationally and known for building strong, trusted relationships.
That same skill set—listening, problem solving, and creating meaningful experiences—naturally transferred into the world of travel. After moving to Tennessee, we saw firsthand how travel brought our family closer—especially our kids and their grandparents—and we felt called to help other families experience that same connection. That’s how CRFT Travel was born.
Today, we craft it all—from bespoke European journeys and luxury cruises to family reunions, destination weddings, vow renewals, and tailored group travel for businesses and organizations. Our privileged partnerships with premier suppliers grant you exclusive access to the world’s top cruise lines, iconic theme parks, distinguished hotel collections, and more. I partner with vetted suppliers and tap into exclusive benefits through our affiliations with Virtuoso, ASTA, and Uniglobe Travel Center. I’m also a Verified Travel Advisor with ASTA, a credential that ensures the highest level of ethics, professionalism, and continuing education in the industry. What truly sets us apart is the concierge-style care we provide. I’m not just a travel agent—I’m your advisor, your planner, and your security blanket. I help prepare you with travel insurance, share local insights, and offer support even if you’re across the world and it’s 3 a.m. in Miami. I hold the phone so you don’t have to. I stress so you don’t have to.

What’s next?
We’re in a season of exciting growth and deepening purpose at CRFT Travel. Now that we’re back in Miami, we’re better positioned to serve clients with easier access to cruise ports, international flights, and face-to-face collaboration. Our CRFT Travel Club continues to grow—we’re fresh off our first hosted group adventure to Alaska and heading to Patagonia for Christmas and New Year’s this year. These trips are about more than sightseeing—they’re about building lasting community through shared experience.
But one of the things I’m most excited about is launching a new initiative that’s been on my heart for a long time: CRFT Fieldtrip.
CRFT Fieldtrip is designed for families who want to travel with purpose—to explore the world while enriching what their children are learning at home or in school. As a homeschool mom of three boys for over six years, I know firsthand how powerful experiential learning can be. This is a way for families to learn and travel together in a meaningful, immersive, and luxurious way.
Imagine learning about American history, then walking the cobblestone streets of Philadelphia or standing where the Constitution was signed. Studying geology? Let’s hike the Grand Canyon and talk about rock formations in real time. Exploring ancient civilizations? An adventure to the Mayan ruins or a deep dive into medieval Europe through England or France brings feudalism to life in ways textbooks simply can’t.
These trips will blend education, family bonding, and curated cultural experiences—all thoughtfully planned to provide a high-end, worry-free experience. I’m currently developing itineraries for 2026 and 2027, and I truly believe this will be a transformational way for families to build memories while nurturing curiosity and a love of learning.
Whether through CRFT Fieldtrip, CRFT Travel Club, or our private travel design services, our mission remains the same: to build community through travel and help families experience the world together in meaningful, unforgettable ways.
