Life & Work with Quincy Frink of NY/MIA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Quincy Frink

Hi Quincy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My story was many years in the making. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Lincoln University, PA. During my time there I perfected my craft and hosted 2 Radio Shows. Post Graduation, I struggled to find my footing. I started a journey as a Freelance Photographer in 2016 as a way to create while finding my way. Soon after I began working with SiriusXM as a Freelance Photographer and expanded my portfolio to different cities, spending alot of time in Miami. In 2019, I became a Producer for LL COOL J’s RockTheBells Radio. I was able to showcase my skills behind the scenes as well as On-Air as a Co-Host for the “Have A Nice Day Show” with Roxanne Shante and DJ COOL V. Today I work out of our NYC and Miami based studio located on Collins Ave leading our live radio show 5 days a week to over 7 Millions listeners daily.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It wasn’t always easy. After Graduation in 2011, I bounced around to minimum wage jobs struggling to find a way into the media workspace. Along the way I found myself faced with Anxiety and Depression. I used the Sunsets and Beaches on Miami as a way to calm my soul

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am currently a Producer and On-Air talent for LL COOL J’s RockTheBells Radio on SiriusXM. I co-host and produce the “Have A Nice Day” Show with Hip Hop Legends Roxanne Shante and DJ Cool V. I am also the Producer for Rap Artist Papoose’s Show on SiriusXM titled The Drama Hour. Outside of radio I am known for my Film Photography and Short Film work in the Miami and NYC area

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Consistency has been key for me. Being 1% better everyday and sticking with the plan that was originally set out as a Freshman in College. Stay the course and good things will happen!
