Life & Work with Myrian Romero of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myrian Romero.

Hi Myrian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my professional journey in the corporate world, where I spent over two decades in sales, marketing, and innovation leadership. That experience gave me structure, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of value creation.

When my family relocated to Miami, I stepped away from my corporate career and, together with my husband, invested in a franchise of The Cleaning Authority. Shortly after, the job that brought us here disappeared. That moment forced me to rethink my identity and redefine my purpose in a new country.

I realized that what truly drives me is learning, solving meaningful problems, and helping people make confident decisions. That reflection led me into consulting small businesses and eventually into real estate.

Today, I work with families, investors, and international buyers across South Florida, guiding them through complex real estate decisions with a consultative and human-centered approach. I focus on clarity, education, and structure so my clients feel informed, protected, and empowered.

My journey has been less about changing industries and more about refining my purpose: serving with intention and turning experience into meaningful contribution.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Moving to a new country after building a long corporate career meant starting from zero in many ways professionally, socially, even personally.

Shortly after relocating, the job that brought our family to Miami was no longer there, and our business was just beginning. That period challenged my sense of identity and stability. I had to rebuild confidence, adapt to a new market, and prove myself again — this time in a different language and culture.

There were moments of uncertainty, especially as an immigrant mother wanting to create security and opportunity for her children. But those struggles shaped my perspective. They strengthened my resilience, deepened my empathy, and reinforced my commitment to serve others with clarity and structure.

Today, when I guide clients through major decisions, I do so from lived experience. I understand what it means to take risks, to start over, and to build something meaningful step by step.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The first thing I’m most proud of is the family my husband and I have built together. Moving to the United States was a decision deeply connected to our desire to create real opportunities for our children. As immigrants, starting from zero required resilience, discipline, and a strong commitment to the values we wanted to pass on to them. Seeing the opportunities they have today is, without question, the achievement that means the most to me.

Professionally, I work as a real estate advisor in South Florida, where I guide families, investors, and international buyers through complex real estate decisions. My approach is consultative and centered on people. I focus on listening carefully, understanding each client’s context and goals, and helping them navigate the legal, financial, and strategic aspects of a transaction so they can make confident and informed decisions.

What I specialize in is bringing structure and clarity to a process that can often feel overwhelming, especially for international buyers and families who are investing or relocating. Real estate decisions are rarely just about a property; they are about security, legacy, and long-term planning.

Alongside my work in real estate, my husband and I have spent more than a decade building and operating a franchise of The Cleaning Authority. Growing that business taught me the operational discipline behind entrepreneurship: how to build systems, lead teams, deliver consistent service, and create dignified employment opportunities while running a sustainable company.

What sets me apart is the combination of perspectives I bring. My background includes more than two decades in corporate leadership, entrepreneurship through our franchise business, consulting with small companies, and now real estate advisory. That journey allows me to approach my clients’ decisions with both strategic thinking and real-world experience.

Many of my clients come through referrals, which for me is the most meaningful recognition. It means they felt supported, informed, and genuinely guided in one of the most important decisions of their lives.

If I had to summarize what drives my work, it would be this: helping people turn complex decisions into clear, confident steps toward the life they want to build.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Yes. If there’s one thing I would like readers to take away from my story, it’s that reinvention is not a sign of failure it’s often a sign of alignment.

Starting over in a new country, shifting careers, building businesses… none of it followed a straight line. What guided me wasn’t certainty, it was purpose. The willingness to learn, to adapt, and to serve with intention made every transition meaningful.

I also believe that real success is not measured only by growth or recognition, but by the impact we create in the lives of others. Whether through helping a family make a confident real estate decision or supporting a small business in becoming more structured and profitable, my goal has always been the same: to add real value.

We all face defining moments. The difference lies in how we respond to them. If my story resonates with someone who is navigating change, I hope it encourages them to trust their ability to rebuild, evolve, and contribute in ways they may not yet fully see.
