Life & Work with Maxwell Worship

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maxwell Worship

Hi Maxwell, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Thank you for this opportunity! My name is Maxwell Worship. I was born and raised in Broward County Florida. Where i not only played little league football in Coral Springs but also did theatre performances at the Broward County Center of Performing Arts every summer, at camp known as Next Stop Broadway.

I took a long break from the arts and focused on school and ball following middle school. I ended up becoming a well known and top ranked football player in broward county with 15 scholarship offers and eventually committing to play D1 Football at Vanderbilt University from 2018-2022.

After a successful collegiate career, i went on to participate and compete in training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans but unfortunately did not make a roster spot. Within that timeframe i was able to fall back into the arts into my passion of acting and attained several bookings including a lead role in a feature film that would take place in the Virgin Islands. Some other notable bookings include a Superbowl Commercial with Michelob Ultra, Stanton Optical, a regular series on Soul Snack and Judge Porter.

This past summer, after having a short campaign playing in the Canadian Football League, I find myself recently making my presence felt in Atlanta, featuring in a Powerade Commercial, while also featuring in an upcoming TV Show titled: “Chad Powers”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Things have not always been easy. But nothing easy is ever worth having. I’ve always been up for a challenge. I happen to love challenges. Mainly because the growth and strength that comes from overcoming those challenges and obstacles.

I think one of the biggest struggles i ever had from a football perspective was at a very younge age. While playing little league in 5th grade i suffered a patella knee sleeve fracture, which lead to multiple operations and procedures that left me sidelined for almost 3 years. When i finally got back to playing the game i love i learned through hard work, consistency and persistency that i could compete and win against the best which lead to me playing and competing in the SEC and having successful collegiate career, that opened up the door to allowing for me to become the 1% of players that get into the NFL.

From an arts and acting perspective, I’d say that the biggest struggle has been vulnerability. Opening myself up and taking a deeper look into myself to understand who i am to my core and allowing others to see that as well. In order to be successful as an actor you have to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances and in order to do that you have to be deeply connected with who you are and comfortable with whatever you find in who you are, and being able to bring that to each and every characted that you decide to take on and perform with.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Actor and athlete. Im probably more well known for being an athlete moreso because that has been at the forefront for the last 15 years of my life. Also because of my successful collegiate career at Vanderbilt University and still having opportunities to play professionally.

But this is something thats probably going to change overtime, given the amount of traction and momentum ive had in booking and featuring in large projects in film, tv and commercials. Some of my most recent work includes a Stanton Optical Commercial, Powerade, Arbies, a VMA promo and most recently my first Short film (“A Pretty Rough Breakup”) and TV show appearance (“Chad Powers”).

Some of my creative work thats been done with a team back in Broward County FL known as “imagesbylexx” is also noteworthy as the team has come up with some very creative and productive concepts that i’ve had the pleasure of modeling in.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
God is Good. I dont have anything figured out. I just trust God. I’ve fallen short so many times but ive gotten up and found myself in better position from when i fell and it can only be because of my lord and savior Jesus Christ. All the glory and praise goes to him the work and passions i dwell in i do to glorify God and the gifts he’s blessed me with, no matter where it leads me becuase without him i am nothing.
