Today we’d like to introduce you to Marylin Nuzzo.
Hi Marylin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Marylin, a Venezuelan makeup artist and beauty content creator based in Miami. I’ve loved makeup since I was little. My mom jokes I never left the house without a tiny silver Minnie bag with lipsticks and a mirror. In 2021 I moved from Caracas to Miami and decided to go all-in on makeup, no plan B.
I started from zero here: DM’ing models, showing up to test shoots, assisting, and meeting photographers on set. Little by little, trust built and small local shoots turned into editorials, red carpets, and beauty/skincare campaigns. At the same time I began sharing bilingual content (Spanish/English)—quick tips, product breakdowns, and BTS from Miami sets so people could see my style and my approach to skin. A full-circle moment was working with brands I already used in my own routine and then seeing those looks on their websites. It still feels surreal and keeps me motivated.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not smooth—but worth it. Moving countries meant no network and a lot of unanswered messages. I had to build everything from scratch and learn fast: be clear about deposits and travel fees, show up early, communicate well, and protect credits. There was a show where promised credits never appeared; now I confirm those things in writing.
Creating content helped too—it let people see my style, my hygiene standards, and my calm energy on set. Posting consistently (real skin, real texture) brought clients who wanted exactly that.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I work across red carpets, editorials, fashion, and brand campaigns for beauty and skincare—and I’m a content creator sharing practical, bilingual beauty tips and BTS from Miami. I also take private clients for events and weddings (brides, bridesmaids, moms, galas, special nights out). Anyone who wants to feel amazing for their day can book with me.
My style is fresh, camera friendly glam. I’m not trying to change your face; I enhance what’s already there so you still feel like you. I’m bilingual (Spanish/English), calm on set, hygiene-first, and I can move fast when the schedule is tight.
Proud moments: seeing my work on billboards across Miami in a citywide campaign from late 2024 into 2025, and in September 2025 watching one of my beauty campaigns light up a Times Square billboard in New York. Seeing my work on giant screens—throughout Miami and in Times Square has been a dream come true. I’m also proud of features like Vogue Arabia and of working backstage at Miami Swim Week with brands like L.A. Girl and Ardell. As a creator, nothing beats a DM that says, “I tried your lip combo and it worked!”
What sets me apart is that mix of skin-first glam + reliable professionalism + clear, honest content—I show up early, keep everything clean and sanitized, communicate well, and credit the team. No drama, just great work.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
How people feel. I want clients to recognize themselves more polished, more confident, still them.
Professional respect. Clear terms, proper credits, clean tools and sanitized practices. That’s how good teams keep working together.
Community & education. Miami is beautifully diverse and very Latin. Creating bilingual content lets me share tips that are simple, real, and helpful so more people feel seen and empowered.
