Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Marie
Hi Leah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into the world of coaching began during my leadership role with a prominent beauty brand. It was there that I quickly discovered my natural gifts—listening with my heart and truly hearing what was being said beneath the words. I found that I had an uncanny ability to simplify very complex concepts, making them digestible for everyone, which was incredibly rewarding. This talent for understanding and communication ignited a passion within me that I couldn’t ignore any longer.
To formalize my skills, I pursued and obtained my Holistic Health Coach Certification. Balancing my beauty career with my newfound calling, I started taking on coaching clients. My passion for holistic health, wellness, and mental health grew immensely. I firmly believe that often, the only thing holding us back from achieving our dreams is ourselves. This insight drove me to help others overcome their inner obstacles and reach their full potential.
Carl Jung’s archetype of ‘The Wounded Healer’ deeply resonates with me, and I do not discount the significance that my name, Leah, is an anagram for HEAL. This realization affirmed my path and fueled my drive to assist others in their healing journeys. Coaching, for me, is not just a profession but a calling that aligns perfectly with my abilities and my desire to make a meaningful impact on others’ lives.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely, challenges have been an inherent part of my coaching career, and I firmly believe that the magnitude of the challenge is directly proportional to the importance of the goal at hand. As someone who thrives on honesty and self-reflection, I’ve come to understand that embracing these challenges is essential for growth, both professionally and personally. One of the most persistent challenges I face is the simple yet profound reality that there never seem to be enough hours in the day to accomplish everything I set out to do. Time management becomes a constant balancing act, forcing me to prioritize and sometimes make tough decisions about where to focus my efforts.
However, if I were to pinpoint the most significant challenge, it would undoubtedly be the pervasive struggle with imposter syndrome. This is something many entrepreneurs and professionals face, yet it’s often left unspoken. Answering one’s calling brings you face-to-face with your shadow self, confronting all those insecurities and doubts that have lingered beneath the surface. For me, this process has been about learning to love and integrate the rejected aspects of myself, transforming a false narrative of inadequacy into one of empowerment and self-acceptance.
This journey of self-discovery and acceptance has not only made me a more effective coach but also a more authentic and compassionate person. By recognizing and addressing imposter syndrome, I am better equipped to guide others through their own challenges with empathy and understanding. Ultimately, these experiences have reinforced the idea that embracing our vulnerabilities and working through our inner conflicts are crucial steps toward becoming the best versions of ourselves.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
