Hi Kelsey, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started at 21 years old with nothing to my name but a dream to be able to take care of my family myself. I fought hard to make a name in the beauty industry and after years of grinding, I finally found a window of success for myself.
Now you can catch me, educating and mentoring young individuals in the industry I can call home.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not, I have had to sacrifice a lot to get where I am at. Friends, family, comfort, and jobs. One of my biggest struggles was finding a way to succeed while maintaining who I was as a person and what my values were.
The financial stability of our world has been scary in my industry so navigating those issues while staying financially on top has been hard.
