Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla Gutiérrez Y Francesca Navarro.
Hi Karla Gutiérrez y Francesca Navarro, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We started For the Future You from a place of love, love for storytelling, for connection, and for those little moments that slip away too fast. What began as two photographers with a shared vision turned into something much deeper, a space where families, couples, and individuals can see themselves honestly, beautifully, and without pretense.
We actually met through photography, drawn to the same natural, documentary style, honest light, true emotion, that kind of imperfect perfection that feels real. What makes For the Future You special, though, is the balance between our worlds. Together, we blend heart and structure, intuition and skill, art and flow.
At the core of what we do is this idea of capturing the everyday kind of love. We always say, embrace the chaos, we’ll capture the moments you never knew you wanted. Because so often, it’s those unplanned, in-between moments that end up meaning the most.
Over the years, our work has become more than just photography, it’s our way of preserving the essence of life as it unfolds. The laughter between frames, the soft chaos of family mornings, the quiet beauty of growing together. Today’s moments are tomorrow’s memories.
With experience, love, and a little bit of magic, we make sure our sessions feel easy, warm, and genuine. Because what we do isn’t just for today, it’s for the future you who will one day look back and remember exactly how it felt. Live for the moments you can’t put into words.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey definitely hasn’t been easy. When you build something from scratch, especially in the creative world, there are moments of uncertainty, financially, emotionally, and artistically. There were times when things moved slower than we hoped, or when we questioned if we were doing enough, or if people could really see the heart behind our work.
Balancing creativity with the logistics of running a business was one of our biggest challenges. Photography is emotional, it’s about people, connection, and presence, but behind every session there’s planning, marketing, editing, client management, and the constant pressure of keeping a small business alive.
Still, every obstacle has helped us grow stronger, more grounded, and more intentional. Those moments of doubt became the reason we learned to trust our vision even more. And that’s what keeps us going, the reminder that beautiful things take time.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We’re lifestyle photographers who specialize in capturing real, meaningful moments, the kind that feel alive even years later. Our work focuses on families, maternity, newborns, and life milestones, but what really defines us is the emotion behind each image.
We don’t chase perfection; we chase truth. The genuine laughter, the little chaos, the tenderness that makes every story unique. Our clients come to us for that, for photographs that feel effortless, timeless, and deeply personal.
What makes us proudest is hearing people say that our images make them feel something. That’s the goal behind every session. For the Future You isn’t just a name, it’s a promise that the moments you live today will be waiting for you tomorrow, exactly as they were.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We love collaborating with people and brands who share our values, authenticity, creativity, and a deep appreciation for storytelling. There are so many ways to connect, through partnerships, creative projects, or simply recommending our work to families who value meaningful photography.
We’re always open to working with local businesses, studios, wellness spaces, and communities that want to create something beautiful together. Supporting us can be as simple as sharing our work, mentioning us to a friend, or keeping For the Future You in mind whenever there’s a story worth documenting.
Because at the end of the day, everything we do grows through connection.
