Life & Work with Karaoke Wine Podcast With Jules & Tessa of Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karaoke Wine Podcast With Jules & Tessa.

Hi Karaoke Wine Podcast with Jules & Tessa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Our journey started as two longtime friends with very different professional paths but the same shared instinct: we’ve always been the people others come to for honest conversations, advice, and encouragement. Over countless glasses of wine and late-night talks, we realized that the conversations happening privately between women, mostly on careers, relationships, money, boundaries, and identity were the ones missing from the public space.

That realization became Karaoke Wine: a podcast and media brand built around candid conversations, laughter, and real stories. What began as a creative outlet quickly evolved into something bigger, a platform that highlights entrepreneurs, creators, and everyday people navigating life with honesty and grit. We blend humor, vulnerability, and storytelling to make conversations that feel approachable but still meaningful.

Today, Karaoke Wine has grown beyond a podcast into a community-driven brand with video, live conversations, merchandise, and collaborations. What started as an idea between friends has become a space where people feel seen, heard, and empowered, and that’s what continues to drive us forward.

The best part is that the brand was built based on girls’ wine nights where we would end up singing Karaoke to YouTube songs. The Karaoke Wine name was born naturally from a girls group chat…It was just perfect for us. Ultimately, the podcast was finalized at a boozy brunch and we launched our first episode 2 weeks later knowing little about the podcast industry.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road and we don’t think meaningful growth ever is. Building something publicly comes with vulnerability, criticism, and a steep learning curve. We’ve had to navigate time constraints, financial investment, creative differences, and the pressure of showing up consistently while balancing full professional lives outside of the brand.

There were moments of doubt wondering if the effort was worth it, if people were really listening, or if we were “doing it right.” We’ve also had to learn how to set boundaries, protect our energy, and evolve the brand without losing the authenticity that made it resonate in the first place.
What carried us through was trust; in each other and in the mission to reach people who are willing to listen and resonate with what we have to say. Every challenge forced us to clarify our voice, strengthen our partnership, and get more intentional about what we were building. Those struggles became the foundation for growth rather than roadblocks.

For the funny side of roadblocks, our early episodes were all about getting the tech right. We have countless hours trying to figure out which are the best microphones, what chords go where and not being “tech” people, when we tell you, we were dancing once we figured it out, is an understatement. But the road nonetheless, has been one hell of a ride and we would not have it any other way. Props to the pink microphones, a must!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
First and foremost: this doesn’t feel like work to us. We are having so much fun being ourselves in such a creative way, the hours put in is a labor of love.

At the heart of what we do is storytelling and community building. Through Karaoke Wine, we create space for honest, unfiltered conversations that explore career growth, entrepreneurship, relationships, boundaries, and personal evolution. The topics people are navigating every day but don’t always see represented authentically in media.

We specialize in making meaningful conversations feel approachable. Our format blends humor, vulnerability, and real-life experiences, which allows guests and listeners to feel comfortable opening up in ways they often don’t elsewhere. We’re known for creating an environment that feels less like an interview and more like a conversation you’d have with close friends over a glass of wine: genuine, supportive, and judgment-free.

What we’re most proud of is the community that has formed around the brand aka US. We’ve built a platform where people feel seen, heard, and validated, and where guests trust us with stories that matter. The feedback we receive from our listeners saying an episode helped them set a boundary, take a career leap, or feel less alone, this is what makes this meaningful.

What sets us apart is our authenticity and partnership. Karaoke Wine isn’t manufactured or performative, it’s rooted in a real friendship, shared values, and lived experiences but with a sprinkle of our spice. We don’t aim to be experts speaking at people; we aim to be curious, present, and honest with them. That energy has allowed the brand to grow organically. We wanted to provide a safe space for people to be curious and show that we ourselves are works in progress. It’s about showing who we are as the brand VS creating a brand that is parts of us.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
This journey has never been a solo effort. Before everything, we credit each other. From Jules editing Tessa when her intrusive thoughts slip out on the mic, to Tessa giving Jules grace for occasionally “cutting her off,” everything we’ve built has been a true partnership.

Our dynamic is a balance of love, friendship, ambition, and creativity. We support one another fully, especially when we don’t see eye to eye. Even in moments of disagreement, we give each other the space and respect to be heard, which allows us to grow both personally and professionally.

Building a business with your best friend is genuinely one of the easiest and hardest things you can do and also one of the most rewarding. That trust and mutual respect are the foundation of everything we create together. Being in each other’s corners and allowing us to be ourselves, is the #1 reason why this has turned into something much bigger than either of us could have expected and this is just the tipping point.

Beyond that, we’re incredibly grateful for the friends, family, and early supporters who encouraged us before there was proof of concept. We’ve also learned so much from the guests who trusted us with their stories, entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders who showed us the power of vulnerability and real conversation. Our audience deserves immense credit as well. Their messages, comments, and engagement continually remind us why this platform matters.

Good or bad, we love it. Keep the engagement coming – we would not be here without our FANs! Our excitement to see the engagement never gets old, and we love a good laugh.

Every mentor, collaborator, and listener who believed in the vision, even when it was still forming, helped turn Karaoke Wine into what it is today.
