Today we’d like to introduce you to Emmanuel Davis.
Hi Emmanuel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started skateboarding at a young age, everything just sort of stemmed from that. Hard work, dedication, and a whole lotta fun have gotten me to where I am today. Throughout different tough situations, I’ve learned to focus on what’s important to me and hone in on my skills as best as possible.
I won an Emmy through BLM activism in Pittsburgh. Joined a grassroots art collective and had to learn to hustle. Dropped a music project in the 1st quarter of 23′ & and created my fragrance line. All of my creative endeavors in film, painting, music, fashion, etc. Are keeping my dreams alive. I hope to inspire all generations to shine.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’d say, it hasn’t always been the smoothest road, but when you have a calling & know what you’re going for, navigating it is a bit easier. I think not being taken seriously as an artist or being overlooked.
Not having money to live, sacrificing, like am I going to eat or paint today, & if I paint, how can I turn that into food and maybe even more? Those were some struggles for sure.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I think I’m most proud of myself because I’m genuinely a dope person. I say I’m most known for being a skateboarder, then a painter, then a musician.
I’ve modeled for some pretty big brands & I’d say I’m in the top 10 photographers in my city. What sets me apart is that I make the stuff that I want, and most time that comes from a higher source.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Peace & love & high vibrations. Only you can be you.
