Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Crowley.
Hi Chloe, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
When I was a kid, I picked up a camera and never really put it down. I grew up involved in theatre and was given opportunities to photograph shows, headshots, and promotional work, which sparked my love for visual storytelling. That passion followed me through college, where I began editorial and fashion photography, had my work published in multiple magazines, and eventually became Editor-in-Chief of Diverse World Fashion Magazine. At the same time, I started photographing graduates and pretty soon started a full time photography business. What I love most about photography is that it allows me to combine so many of my creative interests while capturing moments that people can hold onto forever.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all, but I think that’s part of being an artist. One of the biggest challenges has been learning to trust myself when there isn’t a clear roadmap to follow. Building a creative career means creating your own structure and defining success on your own terms. It’s easy to compare yourself to others, but I’ve learned that growth comes from staying focused on your own path and trusting the process.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a lifestyle and editorial portrait photographer specializing in graduates, couples, branding, and creative editorial work. What sets me apart is my background in theatre, fashion, and production. I graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Theatre Design and Production. Those experiences taught me how every creative element, from styling and lighting to set design and creative direction, contributes to the final image. I love bringing those pieces together to create photographs that feel intentional, personal, and meaningful.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I think it’s my willingness to take risks. I’ve never been afraid to try something new, even if I don’t have everything figured out yet. Most of the opportunities I’ve had came from saying yes, being curious, and trusting that I could learn along the way. I’ve learned that growth happens when you’re willing to take the leap before you feel completely ready.
