Life & Work with Brandon Price of Miami Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Price

Hi Brandon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
“How I Got Started”

After competing in high-level sports both domestically and abroad, I faced a pivotal moment in my life: transitioning from being an athlete to shaping my future career. I knew I wanted to stay connected to the world of sports, but I wasn’t sure what role would suit me best—whether that would be coaching within a team environment or striking out as a private contractor.

My first real opportunity came shortly after graduating university when I joined Bommarito Performance Systems in South Florida, led by Pete Bommarito. This facility was renowned for its work with elite athletes from the NFL, NBA, and MLB, giving me my first behind-the-scenes look at how performance was built at the highest level.

I quickly became immersed in every aspect of their system: strength and power development, speed and agility training, nutrient timing, and even integrating medical disciplines into performance plans. It was there that I saw the extraordinary impact of a holistic, science-driven approach to unlocking an athlete’s potential.

This experience was a turning point. For the first time, I realized how I could transition my own skills as an athlete into a mission to serve and prepare others. By helping athletes push their limits and reach new heights, I felt I had found my calling.

From that moment on, I was all in. By the age of 21, I was seeking out some of the biggest names in the industry, absorbing every piece of knowledge I could. These early lessons and systems became the foundation of everything I stand for today.

“My Early Steps”

In my first year with Bommarito Performance Systems (BPS), I had the incredible opportunity to work on the performance team preparing athletes for the NFL Draft and Combine. This was a critical moment in their careers—a bridge from college and amateur sports to the professional stage. With just six weeks to prepare, we were tasked with optimizing every aspect of their performance for the ultimate series of evaluations—ones that could secure not just their careers but their families’ futures.

While the stakes were high for these athletes, I quickly realized the stakes were just as high for me as a coach. I noticed the professionals around me had a unique perspective, one rooted in a deep understanding of biomechanics and neuroscience. Their coaching was deliberate, precise, and built on principles that I didn’t fully grasp at the time. I knew I had to figure out what made their methods so impactful and, more importantly, how I could rise to that level.

Two certifications stood out as foundational to their approach: Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) and Resistance Training Specialist (RTS). These weren’t just technical skills—they were frameworks for understanding the human body in ways I had never considered. If I wanted to truly excel in my field, I realized I’d need to double down on my education.

So, I went straight to the source. Greg Roskopf, the creator of Muscle Activation Techniques, and Tom Purvis, the founder of Resistance Training Specialist, became mentors who transformed my understanding of performance. Their guidance gave me a lens that not only made sense to me but aligned with the future I envisioned for high-performance training.

These early steps of immersing myself in their expertise and applying their principles became the foundation of how I approach working with athletes today. They shaped my ability to bridge the gap between cutting-edge science and real-world performance, ultimately guiding athletes to unlock their full potential.

“My Breakthroughs”

Growing up, my family’s values were rooted in two distinct but equally influential worlds—hospitality and military/law enforcement. My mom worked in the hospital, my aunt was a physical therapist, and my dad served in the military. Health, wellness, and structure were woven into my upbringing, and these principles became even more significant as I pursued sports.

As I began investing in education platforms like Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) and Resistance Training Specialist (RTS), my perspective on health, wellness, and performance began to shift. What started as a focus on athletes expanded into something much broader. I found myself not only helping athletes but also working with general population clients and those in rehabilitation. My skills became more refined, and my results spoke for themselves.

Word began to spread. The impact I was making led to new opportunities—not just more doors, but bigger doors. I transitioned from assisting coaches to being offered roles as a lead coach, where I could take the reins and orchestrate the entire process. This new lens allowed me to make strategic decisions, design systems, and lead teams in ways that elevated their performance and cohesion.

It was deeply rewarding to see the ripple effect of my efforts. Watching the systems I helped build produce tangible results was validation that my hard work and investment were paying off. But more importantly, it fueled my hunger to keep evolving. I wasn’t satisfied with simply reaching a milestone—I wanted to push the boundaries of what was possible, to explore “what could be” in the ever-evolving world of performance, wellness, and recovery.

“My Current Role and Vision”

Currently, I have the privilege of serving as the Director of Education & Performance at Anatomy, a role that allows me to immerse myself in everything I’m passionate about—training, educating, and building systems and teams. What excites me most about our organization is its forward-thinking vision: a commitment to providing the very best to individuals from all walks of life, all under one roof. Our tagline, “Sweat. Enhance. Recover.”, isn’t just a slogan—it’s a philosophy we’ve brought to life.

At Anatomy, we take inspiration from high-performance sports, where the focus isn’t just on effort but on sustainability. As an athlete, you quickly learn that your talent is irrelevant if you can’t stay on the field or court due to injury. That’s why training in a way that allows you to perform at your best while prioritizing recovery is pivotal.

This is what makes our brand special. At Anatomy, people don’t just have access to cutting-edge training—they have access to everything they need to win in the short and long term. From recovery systems to personalized performance strategies, we’ve created an environment that supports not just physical goals but also overall wellness and sustainability.

“Lessons and Advice”

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” This principle has guided me throughout my career, and the most impactful decision I’ve made is to surround myself with the right team.

In an industry where new facilities pop up every day, having the newest equipment or the flashiest tools means nothing if there’s no purpose—no “why” driving it all. A strong team aligned around a shared mission can turn potential into something meaningful and lasting.

Over the years, I’ve had countless opportunities. Some worked out, and some didn’t. But with a growth mindset, every opportunity—whether it’s a success or a setback—is a chance to learn and move forward. Every rep is an opportunity to do better. As you continue to refine your craft and align yourself with the people and values you believe in, the right opportunities will find you—every time.

The key is to fall in love with the process, not just the result. It’s easy to chase immediate gratification, but true success comes from patience, persistence, and investing in becoming the best version of yourself.

Though I’m no longer on the field as an athlete, coaching has become my sport. And just like in any sport, there are wins and losses. The goal isn’t to avoid the losses—it’s to keep learning, keep training, and keep trusting the people around you. With that mindset, the championship will eventually be yours.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, and I don’t think it’s supposed to be. Growth and success come from navigating the obstacles that shape you along the way. For me, one of the biggest challenges was transitioning from being an athlete to becoming a coach. As a player, you’re often focused on your individual performance. But as a coach, you take on the responsibility of guiding others to their fullest potential—a shift that required me to learn, adapt, and embrace a completely new mindset.

Another challenge was realizing how far behind the industry could be when it came to integrating science and performance. During my early career, even the information I learned in university, which was from a leading program, didn’t fully prepare me for the demands of working with high-level athletes. It was eye-opening to see the gaps, especially in bridging rehab and high performance. I had to double down on my education, seek out mentors, and immerse myself in new systems like Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) and Resistance Training Specialist (RTS).

There were also opportunities that didn’t pan out as expected. Some roles worked out wonderfully, while others didn’t align with my vision or values. But each experience taught me something, whether it was refining my approach or clarifying the type of work I wanted to do. The key was staying patient, trusting the process, and understanding that every challenge was a stepping stone.

Perhaps the most personal challenge came from my own athletic career, when an injury during my Division I days forced me to rethink how training and recovery could be better integrated. That experience gave me a deep understanding of what athletes face and a passion for ensuring others don’t feel lost in the process.

Through it all, I’ve learned that obstacles aren’t roadblocks—they’re lessons. Every setback, misstep, or pivot has contributed to the person and professional I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
“My Work”

As the Director of Education & Performance at Anatomy, I specialize in neuromuscular therapy, biomechanics, and high-performance sports. I’ve worked with professional athletes in Soccer, the NFL, NBA, and MLB, as well as weekend warriors striving for their personal best. My work focuses on bridging the gap between rehab and performance, creating systems that help individuals train intentionally and achieve their unique goals.

What I’m most proud of is the team we’ve built at Anatomy. Our team is deeply motivated—not only to help clients grow but to continually challenge themselves to improve. This culture of collaboration and constant pursuit of excellence drives everything we do, from training to recovery.

What sets my approach apart is a commitment to holistic performance and education. Every plan is tailored to the individual, combining cutting-edge science with practical application. For example, by integrating neuromuscular therapy into strength training programs, I’ve helped athletes recover from chronic injuries while returning to peak performance—a process that has made them stronger and more resilient than ever. I aim to equip clients with the tools and knowledge they need to make better decisions—long after our work together is done.

At Anatomy, we’ve built an environment where people have access to the best of training, recovery, and support all under one roof. It’s a place where high performance is not just a standard but a shared vision, one where clients and professionals alike are empowered to reach their fullest potential. Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
“What Makes Me Happy”

What makes me happy is seeing growth—in others and in myself. Whether it’s helping a client reach a goal they once thought was impossible, watching a team member step into their full potential, or even overcoming a challenge in my own life, there’s something incredibly fulfilling about progress. It’s not about perfection—it’s about moving forward, learning, and evolving.

I also find happiness in the process itself. I’ve learned to love the work—the training, the problem-solving, the constant pursuit of improvement. It’s not just the outcomes that bring joy; it’s the journey of building something meaningful, brick by brick.

But what truly drives my happiness is connection. Whether I’m working with a client, mentoring a team member, or collaborating with others in the industry, I thrive when I’m able to create meaningful relationships. To me, success isn’t just about individual accomplishments—it’s about the impact we have on others and the legacy we build together.

Ultimately, what makes me happiest is knowing that the work I do not only helps people perform better but also allows them to see their own potential and live fuller, more empowered lives. That’s why I do what I do, and that’s what keeps me excited every day.
