Hi Angelica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Angelica Rico, and I’m proud to call Miami my home. As the daughter of Colombian parents, I grew up knowing the importance of hard work and dedication, values that have shaped every part of who I am today. From a young age, I found joy in capturing moments by filming homemade videos of my family and friends and editing them into stories that brought us all together. What started as a childhood hobby quickly grew into a deep passion for storytelling and visual creativity. Today, that passion has grown into a career that allows me to do what I love every day.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of the people who love me most. I want to thank my boyfriend Brandon for always believing in me, my mom for being my biggest supporter, my dad for pushing me to be my best, and my sister for inspiring me to take on challenges.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like many creative paths, mine has been filled with challenges, moments of doubt, and countless learning experiences. With every obstacle, I’ve gained more knowledge and grown into the person I am today. Life always throws curveballs, but I believe that every hardship is an opportunity to grow. No matter what comes my way, I face it head-on and come out stronger each time.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Ever since I could hold a camera, I’ve been drawn to capturing moments that tell a story. That passion has grown into a career as a Visual Media Manager for Miami’s School District, where I create content, manage social media, and lead marketing initiatives. I also run my own business, ARICO Productions, which has given me the opportunity to take on unique projects, from video production, to photographing antique and luxury cars, experiences made even more special thanks to my dad’s influence. In addition, I help manage marketing and social media for TRY3D, a 3D printing brand I run with my boyfriend, Brandon.
I’m proud of what I’ve built. For me, my work is about more than just creating content, it’s about crafting moments that people feel, remember, and connect with. What sets me apart is the personal touch I bring to every project, blending creativity, strategy, and storytelling in a way that leaves a lasting impact.
What does success mean to you?
I define success by the love and laughter in my life. To me, success goes beyond accomplishments. It’s about feeling genuinely happy, fulfilled, and always striving to grow as a person and in my career. I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and the experiences that have shaped me into who I am today. Every challenge I’ve faced has taught me something valuable and reminded me how important it is to stay positive and keep growing.When I look at my life, I see success in the laughter I share, the lessons I’ve learned, and the people I have in my life who stand by me no matter what.
