Life & Work with Andrea Laitano of Miami / South Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Laitano.

Hi Andrea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey in the creative industry started 13 years ago when I began photographing my daughter as a baby. What started as a personal passion quickly grew into something much bigger. I fell in love with storytelling through images and eventually turned that passion into a career.

Over the years, photography opened doors to new creative opportunities. As I worked with families, entrepreneurs, restaurants, wellness brands, and small businesses, I realized that most brands needed more than great photos. They needed a strong visual identity, engaging content, marketing support, and a clear strategy to stand out in a crowded market.

That evolution led me to create Creatively Andy LLC, a creative marketing company that helps brands elevate their presence through photography, videography, social media management, website design, email marketing, branding, and content strategy. Today, my work focuses on helping businesses tell their story in a way that feels authentic while creating content that connects with their audience and supports their growth.

My creative background extends beyond photography. I studied Architecture for two years in college, which helped develop my eye for composition, aesthetics, and design. I later continued my education through graphic design and photography courses, combining multiple creative disciplines into the work I do today.

Building my business as a single mother has been one of the greatest challenges and motivations of my life. It has taught me resilience, creativity, and the importance of constantly evolving. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how something that began with photographs of my daughter has grown into a creative agency dedicated to helping brands stand out, connect with their audience, and grow with confidence.

Today, I continue to wear many creative hats, but at the heart of everything I do is the same passion that started it all 13 years ago: helping people tell their story in a meaningful and visually impactful way.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. Like most entrepreneurs, I’ve faced my share of challenges along the way.

Before focusing on photography and marketing, I launched an activewear brand in my mid twenties that experienced great success. However, I learned firsthand how personal struggles can affect a business when they aren’t properly addressed. That experience taught me valuable lessons about leadership, balance, and resilience.

As my passion for photography grew, so did my client base through referrals and word of mouth. One of my biggest challenges was building my business while raising my daughter as a single mother. In the beginning, I was doing everything myself and wearing every hat in the company.

In 2018, I opened my first photography studio and later expanded into a larger commercial space. Despite the pandemic, my business continued to grow, and by 2021 I had opened my most successful studio.

Then I made one of the biggest decisions of my life: moving to Miami. It was a dream come true, but it also meant leaving behind the network and reputation I had spent years building and starting over from scratch in a new city.

Looking back, every challenge helped shape who I am today. They taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of continuously evolving both personally and professionally.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Today, I run Creatively Andy LLC, a creative marketing company that helps businesses elevate their brand through photography, videography, social media management, website design, email marketing, and visual branding.

While I started as a photographer over 13 years ago, my work has evolved into helping businesses create a complete and cohesive brand presence. I love combining creativity with strategy, whether I’m producing a photoshoot, designing a website, developing a brand manual, writing newsletters, or creating content that helps a business connect with its audience.

I am known for being a versatile creative professional who can see the bigger picture. My background in photography, design, marketing, and visual storytelling allows me to approach projects from multiple angles rather than focusing on just one service.

What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me and the fact that many of my opportunities have come through referrals and long term relationships. I’m also proud of having built my career from the ground up while raising my daughter and continuing to reinvent myself as the industry evolves.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just create content that looks beautiful. I focus on creating content and brand experiences that feel authentic, connect with people, and support real business growth. I believe great marketing happens when creativity and strategy work together, and that’s the approach I bring to every project.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Perhaps the biggest surprise is how much personal growth has shaped my professional journey. In recent years, I’ve dedicated a lot of time to personal development, healing, and self discovery. Yoga became an important part of that process, and what started as a personal practice eventually led me to become a certified yoga teacher.

The lessons I’ve learned through yoga, mindfulness, and personal growth have influenced not only the way I live, but also the way I run my business, approach creativity, and connect with clients. I believe some of my best work comes from being present, listening deeply, and understanding the human stories behind every brand and every person I work with.

At the end of the day, creativity is only one part of who I am. I’m equally passionate about growth, learning, and helping others tell their stories in a way that feels authentic and meaningful.
