Today we’d like to introduce you to Aleya Monae.
Hi Aleya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am Aleya Monae, a Rising Senior, Strategic Communications Major Minor Marketing from Bowie, Maryland I attend Hampton University. Angel Girl Avenue is a company that provides the best quality products at an affordable cost.
We want to make sure we fully express our love for putting out the best items and branding our business.
Our main goal is to make women feel like Angels inside and out. I started Angel Girl Avenue during quarantine because I’ve always had a love for beauty and fashion, and decided it was the perfect time to bring my visions to life.
I started with my own eyelash collection and then decided I wanted to add other pieces such as Sunglasses, Custom Hats, Purses, and some selective clothing items. As of today, I am preparing to relaunch Angel Girl Avenue and will be launching my newest collection this upcoming FALL 2022.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a business has been such a learning experience for me.
Something I struggled with was not understanding why people I know weren’t supporting me and I had to learn that the most support is going to come from family and strangers.
I just have to keep putting in work and focusing on my businesses.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am also an MUA.
I specialize in Natural and Soft Glam, my dream job is to tour with an Entertainer and be their personal MUA for concerts and also have my own salon that has booths to rent for MUAs, Lash Techs, Waxers, and also have my boutique Angel Girl Avenue connected to the salon.
