Life & Work with Alexandra Outerbridge of Downtown Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Outerbridge.

Hi Alexandra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started Outerbridge Jewelry to offer a more modern, concierge-style fine jewelry experience. With roots in Bermuda and a studio in Miami, I work closely with clients to design custom pieces that feel personal, intentional, and one-of-a-kind. Whether it’s an engagement ring or a reimagined heirloom, every piece is made to mark something meaningful with care, craft, and love.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely not been a smooth road, but that’s part of building something real. Starting a concierge fine jewelry brand meant going against a traditional industry model. I’ve had to build trust one client at a time, without the safety net of a big-name store or mass production. And as a founder, wearing all the hats from design to sourcing to social media can be overwhelming at times. But every challenge has pushed me to refine, adapt, and stay connected to the why behind the brand which is to keep it concierge based and feel personal at all times.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Outerbridge Jewelry, we specialize in custom fine jewelry, mostly engagement rings, custom designs, tennis bracelets, and sentimental heirlooms. Every piece is designed in close collaboration with the client and handcrafted in Miami from scratch with a focus on quality, meaning, and modern style. We are known for creating pieces that feel deeply personal, not mass-produced.

What sets us apart is the concierge approach. Clients get hands-on guidance throughout the design process, whether they’re local or across the world. I source stones, design mockups, manage production, and handle everything from start to finish. I’m most proud of the trust people place in me during some of their biggest life moments. These aren’t just accessories, they’re stories in metal.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is creating with intention. Whether it’s a ring or a relationship, I care about meaning over mass. I want every piece I make to feel personal to reflect a story, a moment, a connection. Jewelry is emotional; it holds memory. That’s why I put so much care into the process. It’s not just about making something beautiful it’s about making something that matters.
