Today we’d like to introduce you to Ada Da Silva.
Hi Ada, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I didn’t begin my journey as an artist in the traditional way. My path started in finance, where I built structure and strategy. Until it became clear it was time to change direction and follow a new path. Bronze became my language, a medium that feels both eternal and alive, allowing me to capture fleeting emotions in forms that last forever.
My work has traveled the world, but Miami is where it truly breathes. This city’s rhythm, its mix of cultures, and its endless lights, all shape my creative process. Beyond sculpture, I’m deeply involved in the cultural fabric here, collaborating, curating, and giving back through philanthropy.
I see my life as a collection of stories, each moment a sketch, each sculpture a chapter. In Miami, I’ve found the perfect place to live them out, a city where hidden gems are not only discovered, but created.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I believe the detours, the challenges, and even the love and eventual heartbreaks along the way have been my greatest sources of inspiration. They fuel the creation of iconic, elegant pieces that express these emotions in their most simplistic form. Stepping into the world of art comes with many vulnerabilities; times when I questioned what it meant to build a life solely around love and passion for the arts.
As a woman, mother, cultural leader, and artist, balance has also been a constant challenge, carving out space for creativity while carrying so many responsibilities. Yet every obstacle has shaped me, both personally and artistically. The struggles taught me resilience and reminded me that beauty often emerges from difficulty. My sculptures are born from that truth, that movement, emotion, and transformation arise from embracing both the light and the shadows along the way.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’d love to learn more about your work. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc.?
I create bronze sculptures that are timeless, elegant, and deeply emotive. My specialty lies in transforming abstract ideas, feelings, moments, and stories into forms that feel both classic and alive.
I am known for abstract elongated figures with a classic yet modern aesthetic, forms that feel both graceful and eternal.
My work carries layers of meaning, timeless beauty which invites the viewer to pause and reflect. Each curve and gesture is intentional, designed to evoke a personal connection in whoever encounters it.

What are you most proud of?
What fills me with pride is not only the awards or recognition, though being named Best in Show at the Palm Beach Art Show 2025, Best Sculptor at Art Basel 2023. I am especially proud of becoming the first Cuban female sculptor to be given permanent placement in the Cuban Museum in Miami, a milestone that carries both personal and cultural significance. I am most proud of the quiet moments when someone stands before one of my sculptures and feels understood, moved, or even transformed. Those connections between art and audience are priceless, and they remind me why I followed this path. I am proud, too, of my collectors who believe in my vision and carry my work into homes, public places, and museums where the story continues. Pride, for me, lives in the dialogue between creation and connection.

My pride also extends to the international stage, where my sculptures have been exhibited in Europe and are part of the private collections. Yet beyond these milestones, my true pride lies in the quiet moments when someone connects with my work, feeling seen or moved by the emotions cast in bronze.

What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is the way I weave my unique vision into timeless forms, my ability to distill emotion into art that speaks without words. My artistic journey was not traditional; I did not study fine art in college, but carrying with me discipline and structure learned in a formal education, before surrendering to the vulnerability of art. This duality, precision and passion, strength and delicacy is etched into everything I create. I let my adventurous personality, diverse roles, and cultural leadership shape my perspective, allowing me to tell stories that are both personal and universal. My work is not just sculpture, but a living experience that lingers in the memory long after the viewer walks away.
How do you define success?
To me, success is not just a milestone to reach, but a rhythm to live by. It is found in creating art that feels timeless, in building communities where culture thrives, and in inspiring transformation within the spaces and people I touch. Awards and recognition are affirmations I value, but true success runs deeper. It lives in a legacy, in the way my sculptures continue to speak when I am no longer present.
Success to me also means building community and giving back through philanthropy, because art, like success, is meant to be shared, experienced, and cherished. True success is living with purpose, creating timeless works, nurturing cultural connections, and inspiring transformation in the spaces and people I touch.
