Thanks for sharing your story with us Katherine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a small Miami makeup artist and beauty blogger. I put forward a maximum effort and the best work on my page on Instagram, known as @zkmua. I do very inspiring looks and recreations. I am hoping to grow more over time and be better known throughout Miami.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As of right now, I am not that big on Instagram but people tend to judge me for having a makeup account and they tell me I’ll never make it big. Young ladies, I recommend if you’re gonna do something, to put all your effort into it. Do not do something to get famous or to get free stuff. If you start off with those intentions, eventually people will see right through it.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with your business – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I do makeup on clients and on myself. As of right now, I do it mostly on myself. I love doing makeup, my life revolves around it and I’ve been into makeup since I was in 4th grade
What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
Don’t be fake, and go in with good intentions. Don’t expect to grow right away and don’t be mad if you don’t grow your first few months.
