Today we’d like to introduce you to Gaby Diaz.
Gaby, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
When I moved to Miami, I began working as a contract administrator for the first mixed-use urban design development in South Florida: Midtown Miami. There, I learned the legal aspects of the business and was fortunate enough to meet many mentors that taught me valuable lessons. My interest in the field only grew from there, so in 2008, I got my real estate license and started working my way up the ranks. I have held numerous management positions in pre-construction of luxury condominiums and have been recognized for decisive leadership and my ability to secure strong business relationships in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
Has it been a smooth road?
As a woman and an immigrant, the path to success hasn’t always been easy. Sexism and xenophobia are real issues in our society, and while we must do what we can to change these norms, I have learned that resilience is key. Do not let anyone underestimate you or your work. I truly believe that if you work hard enough for something, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. So set goals, work your butt off, and remember to celebrate the small victories!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with your work – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am currently working as a Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Loan Originator specializing in South Florida. Closing a deal and seeing the smiles on my clients’ faces is the most rewarding part of my job. Savvy negotiations, cutting-edge marketing strategies, and uncompromising integrity are the hallmark of my services. Clients can expect my utmost attention and investment in making their real estate dreams a reality. I treat every client like family, and I don’t give up until my client is completely satisfied.
Every time I close a deal, I donate portion of my commission to non-profit organizations that feed children in my home country of Venezuela.
Often it feels as if the media, by and large, is only focused on the obstacles faced by women, but we feel it’s important to also look for the opportunities. In your view, are there opportunities that you see that women are particularly well positioned for?
Women can do anything they set their mind to. I feel that the struggles that women often face actually serve to make them stronger. Because of our strength, women are well positioned to make their dreams a reality, whatever that may entail.
