We’re looking forward to introducing you to Valeria Zea. Check out our conversation below.
Valeria, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Who are you learning from right now?
I learn from everyone around me. My husband, a creative genius, constantly inspires me to see the world differently. My daughter reminds me to be brave, honest, kind, and fearless-just like her. My mother sets an example through her faith and dedication, teaching me the power of living with intention. I’m also inspired by my friends and the incredible team at Cultura Media House, who push me to be bolder, more playful, and endlessly creative.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, i’m Valeria Zea, blessed to be a mom and storyteller at heart. I host a podcast that reflect my love for culture, cinema, creativity, connection and people.
Industry of Cool pod is my deep-dive, solo hosted podcast where I explore the lives and journeys of fascinating, multi-talented people- from actors, to artists, to thinkers, to cool people- we talk life, iconic films, and play a few games along the way. Think 90s chaos meets cozy depth.
What makes me unique? Could be my curiosity and desire to connect people to creativity in a way that feels both intimate and exciting. None of this would be possible without the amazing studio behind it all, Cultura TV, where creativity and collaboration bring our shows to life.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Growing up, it was always my mother and Jesus who saw me clearly – reminding me of where I come from and where I’m going, and helping me recognize my own strength and purpose even before I could see it myself. Later, when I met my husband, he also saw me for who I truly am and continuously pushes me out of my comfort zone, inspiring me to grow, take risks, and embrace my full potential.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self: ‘ Give yourself some grace- you were made perfectly in love. Your sensitivity to the world is a gift, and everything is going to be OK.’
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what really matters to me is faith, family, movies, and music- the things that ground me, inspire me, and make life feel meaningful and joyful.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I believe that I am doing what I was born to do.
