Sei Desmangles shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Sei , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
The project I’m proudest of isn’t a career milestone or a new relationship — it’s rebuilding myself. I’ve been learning to be alone without feeling lonely, to find joy in stillness, and to connect deeply with my own spirit.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a longtime makeup artist and an account executive for a leading cosmetic skincare company — my passion has always been helping people feel confident in their own skin. Over the years, my work in beauty has taught me that true transformation begins within, not just in how we present ourselves to the world. As I continue to grow professionally, I’m also exploring real estate as a long-term investment in my future, building a foundation that reflects both independence and purpose. Beyond titles and industries, I’m most proud of the quiet work I’ve done on myself — learning to enjoy my own company, deepening my spirituality, and redefining what success looks like from the inside out.
My mission is to inspire women to build confidence, independence, and fulfillment — from the inside out.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My daughter reminds me what courage looks like. Her independence and fearless spirit have reshaped how I see the world — and myself.
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
After failing hard, I realized something important — nobody’s keeping score as closely as I thought. I used to believe failure defined me, but I’ve learned it’s actually how I rise afterward that matters most. The truth is, people quickly move on, and what really counts is the strength and self-respect you build in the process of getting back up.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
I once thought I had to stay the course. Now I know changing direction isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
Without the titles, achievements, or possessions, what would remain is how I loved — the moments I made others feel seen and cared for. I’ve learned that being truly present with people leaves a far greater mark than anything else we accomplish.
