Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Robin Dimond of Miami

Robin Dimond shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Robin, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing my legacy.
Life hasn’t always given me the affirmation I hoped for, whether from family or from love. But it has given me the strength to create something lasting. Though I never had the privilege of children of my own, I’ve poured my heart into those I get to call family , investing in them the way I wish someone had invested in me. I’m honoring my grandmother’s grit, the people who came alongside of me when I was … broken, and the lessons from every chapter.

If I stop, the ripple stops. The doors I’ve fought to open may close. The inspiration may fade. And the proof that we can turn struggle into something beautiful would be lost. My legacy is my answer.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Robin Dimond, founder and CEO of Fifth & Cor, a marketing and innovation agency built on the belief that business should be both impactful and human. My career has taken me from owning restaurants to building brands, but my true passion is creating legacies for both our clients and our team.

At Fifth & Cor, we bring together strategy, creativity and innovation to help companies grow in ways that last. We’re known for pushing boundaries, connecting communities and crafting stories that truly resonate. What makes us unique is not just the work we deliver but the relationships we build and the way we align success with purpose.

Right now, we are expanding into new markets, launching The Cor Collective and developing projects that connect business growth with community impact. For me, this work is about more than marketing. It’s about leaving a lasting mark and empowering others to do the same.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My nana (grandma) saw me—the real me—long before I could see myself. From the very beginning, she treated me like an equal, never like a child. She taught me how to bring people together, to love without judgment, and to treat everyone with respect no matter how they defined themselves. She was the kind of woman who cared deeply, took care of everyone, and always made sure people felt valued.

She passed on her love for food and drinks, and showed me how to be the hostess with the mostest. She taught me that people always matter more than anything else. Even at 85, when I was just 13, she never saw me as “too young.” She took me to dinner parties, taught me to bring mangos to neighbors, invited me to help them with chores, and made everyday moments feel like magic.

She’d let me “take care” of her just so we could stroll to the neighborhood pool. She listened patiently as I gushed about boys I liked, and she always knew when I was experimenting with her makeup in the bathroom during sleepovers. She loved me in a way that words will never fully capture, and she worked tirelessly while still being the most incredible human I’ve ever known.

Every day, I wear the only piece of jewelry I own from her, and it reminds me of that love. My nana made me feel like I was more than enough, and there has never been another person who has made me feel that way so completely.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I’ve survived a stroke, business betrayal, divorce, a lifetime of reaching for approval that never came, the loss of three friends in a single year, financial infidelity, stolen ideas tossed aside without a second thought, a love that shattered me, the grief of not having children, and a year my body fought just to keep me here.
I haven’t healed.
I’m still bleeding in places no one can see.
They say healing takes time.
I know healing takes grit, and I’ve got that in endless supply. I’m still here, still moving, and I will make sure where I arrive is worth every mile.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
If you asked my closest friends what really matters to me, they’d say my home. You can call it whatever you want—home, sanctuary, retreat: but for me, it’s a feeling more than a place. After being on the road so much, I’ve learned that home isn’t just where you live. It’s the people, the energy, the safety you feel when you walk through the door.

I have a way of adopting people into my life. I love bringing them into my home and giving them a space where they can truly relax, where every sound, smell, taste, and touch feels like comfort and welcome. Anyone who steps inside would feel my heart immediately because I pour it into that space. My home is where love lives, and that’s what really matters to me.

But this past year, I’ve had to leave it all behind and start over.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
Having children.

I missed out on the greatest thing there is. Building a family of my own. I think about it every single day, even when I don’t say it out loud. Sometimes I joke that I don’t have kids “that I know of,” but trust me, I would know. If I did, my life right now would look completely different.

That truth cuts deep. It’s a wound that never fully heals. But it’s mine to carry and I carry it alone.
